Guest guest
http://www.nomorefakenews.com/archives/archiveview.php?key=2331 THE MEDICAL OP---PLANET EARTH 2005-10-20 OCTOBER 20, 2005. This op can be looked at in a number of ways from a number of levels: the profit motive; the desire of doctors and researchers to advance their status; the desire of patients to be controlled and told what to do; the desire of people to be labeled with a condition as a way of explaining what they perceive is their unsolved predicament; the confirmation of a belief system that ascribes a high place to the concept of illness; the medical desire to control others; a political arm of a general op to control and thin out populations; a rubric under which human rights and freedoms can be curtailed as part of declared medical emergencies or as a thread in the lattice of " we want to protect you " ; a way of forwarding a parental State; transnational corporate expansion; a symbolic method for proving humanitarian concerns. Note that all these levels and vectors lie outside the natural hope of giving and receiving healing. I want to mention briefly the overall medical op as a doorway into the future. For many, the psychiatric revolution of the 20th century replaced religion as a path to salvation. With the onset of chemical treatment as the preferred choice (as opposed to talk therapy), it was envisioned that the brain itself would be experimented on to tease out the ways of creating happiness and ecstasy---or outright submission to higher authority. Actually, this experiment always ends up with submission---because chemical dependency is a condition in which the hoped-for state of mind is controlled by dosage and substance. Therefore, the person ingesting the chemical is on the string. See, for example, the use of Soma in Aldous Huxley's novel, Brave New World. Inevitable moments of confusion and fear and sadness in the great utopia are dealt with by a visit to the government pharmacy branch office, where the drug is dispensed. Of course, back in the real world, much education (operant conditioning) is necessary before the general populace believes that a drug will produce steady-state happiness. For this we have the entire underground street-drug " promotion, " as well as the above ground medical propaganda--- " we're getting there, we just need more money for research. " The political premise of drug-into-happiness is: YOU CAN BE HAPPY REGARDLESS OF EXTERNAL CIRCUMSTANCES. This translates into: you may be living in conditions of severe injustice and slavery, but the drug will make you rise above all that. You might say this is the wet dream of the slavemaster. To have a population brought into line in this fashion. Wave One of the new psychiatric revolution was the introduction of all those drugs which could loosely be called tranquilizers. Wave Two was the onset of the antidepressants, particularly the class of substances called SSRIs, beginning with Prozac. To be somewhat ruthless about it, the entire revolution could have been short-circuited by merely making all the tranquilizers, antidepressants, and street drugs completely legal. No prescription necessary. Just walk into a store and buy anything from heroin and Thorazine to Paxil. After a generation or two, people would have seen that repeated ingestion brings with it major debilitation. I liken the effect, at best, to that noticed by many long-term pot smokers. As the years roll by, more substance is needed to simply stay even. And there is a dulling outcome. The mind does not work as quickly as it once did. The former sheen of perception, in which the world appears to be a joyous place, recedes. At worst, I would point to what happens to many, many inmates of psych wards. They incur grave brain damage. However, if you keep people going with the carrot and the stick, they can be maintained in a hopeful state: many of the drugs are only permitted with a doctor's script; you can be arrested for possession of street drugs; new research looks very promising. This is the classic squeeze play. Give a little, hold back a little, paint a rosy picture of the future. Unfortunately, most of planet Earth is unwilling to go through the damage and discover the truth that complete freedom of choice will bring. People want to be told what to do. On this basis, a Brave New World can be ushered in, with a limp, as it were. For every Glaxo-Paxil scandal (undisclosed severe addictive properties of the drug, suicides), we get a thousand press releases printed as articles by the press. These releases pump up the latest breakthrough discoveries in the area of treating depression and other feelings. The old whipsaw: yes it could be dangerous, but we are monitoring the situation, and we have researchers working on better chemicals---so go ahead and stick your toe in the water. You might incur A or B or C or D or E, all dangerous adverse effects, so ask your doctor if XYZ is right for you. Give a little, hold back a little. With complete legalization of, and easy access to, all drugs, the devastation might slightly outflank what we have now, but in the long run people would discover for themselves that the paradise to be attained through chemistry is an illusion. Insights? Changes in behavior? Better perception of reality? You might get there now and then through some drug taking, but you will also get to the point where you, on your own hook, view the limits and experience the downside. And if you disagree with this assessment, you're free to go full steam ahead, for as long as you want to. My point is, the " masters " want to move us into a Brave New World, and they know that the road to the goal is paved with the kinds of restrictions and lies that only whet the appetite. Medical boards, the FDA, cops, prescription pads, so-called addiction clinics, jails groaning with drug offenders, the tightly built street-drug cartels under the throne of banks and financiers, the whole medical apparatus itself---all these exist to do more than make profit. They are the alternating yes and no of a game that (like a sexual tease) makes people want to move forward under the chemical banner into a new garden of Eden. The dream. The great dream. A dream to be controlled by Them, just as the gateway to heaven itself is controlled, for its registered aspirants, by one professional priesthood or another. Slaves ask, Am I permitted? Will I get away with it? Will I be given the diagnosis that leads to the prescription so I can get the drug? In other words, Brave New World is possible only when the People are juvenile, passive, expectant, resentful, cunning, and stupid. If the drugs are all made legal, after some horrific damage (which society is already experiencing under the current system), people will wake up and say: WE TOOK THE DRUGS ON OUR OWN; WE THOUGHT THEY WERE GREAT FOR A WHILE, THEN WE REALIZED THEY HAD HORRIBLE EFFECTS; THEN WE STOPPED. IT WAS ALL OUR OWN DOING. And if you are one of those people who decide that pot or Prozac is just what you want forever, you go ahead and imbibe until the cows come home. It's your decision. It's exactly when you strip away the illusion of CERTAIN KNOWLEDGE RESIDING IN THE MINDS OF THE APPOINTED AUTHORITIES that you open the door. You open the door to the possibility of the slaves becoming free. Free from what? The drugs? Free from having to believe in the infallibility of the authorities. Glaxo. Pfizer. Merck. Lilly. I have a deal for you. No more lawsuits aimed at collecting millions and billions from you for unleashing wave after wave of toxic drugs on the population. Those suits are OVER. In return, we make ALL your drugs legal for adults. Any adult can walk into a shop and buy your pills. No doctor. No prescription. Just cash.
