It is mega times sweeter than sugar so you only need just a touch in whatever you're adding it to. When I first used it I bought the liquid extract and I knew to use just a little so I put 10 drops in a cup of tea and, wow, was that sweet. Four or five drops are good for me. The flavor is a little different so you may have to get used to it. If you were a diet soda drinker you may not notice it at all. I live in the Pacific Northwest and one of the local master gardeners says he has stevia in a pot on his deck and takes off leaves when he needs them. I'm going to get myself a plant also.
