Candace...Now you got me going ! I went to that site and I am going to CALL

a few Organic Dairies today and just find out the somatic cell count of

their milk....Mary O

The site had a good point in that humans are the only creatures that drink

milk from another species. And that cow milk is meant to turn a 90 pound

calf into an 800 pound bull in a BIG hurry and there's stuff in milk humans

just shouldnt' be drinking......

Leave it to this group to make me THINK again. My brain is starting to hurt.

I wonder if organic dairy farmers push their cows to mass produce milk like

regular dairies do. That's what causes the mastitis and pus. Icky. I don't

think I'll ever drink milk again.

Candace...Yes it's pretty gross . I just talked to a nice woman at Organic

Valley . I told her that I knew the allowable somatic cell count in

Wisconsin is 297,000.000 somatic cells per liter . She says theirs is well

below that ( but is it below 200,000,000 and is even that ok ?)and she will

get me the specific data by next week I also talked to the Horizon Co's

corporate offices in Colorado . They will get an answer to me in a few days

.. Now Horizon's dairy farms are in Maryland according to their web site

,where the allowable somatic cell count is a whopping 351,000,000 somatic

cells per liter. Holy smokes !. Can you think of anymore companies to try

?....Mary O

Those are the only two kinds my grocery store carries! I dont' know of any

others!

Yuck. That's one of those things where the saying " if you don't know about

it, it can't hurt you " comes to mind. I wish I never would have read that.

Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Is soy milk located next to the regular milk in the store?

I've never looked for it, but I think I will now.

I would stay away from soy milk as well. We still don't know how the GMO aspect will affect us in the long run. And the estrogen-like ingredients. Try almond milk. It's FANTASTIC!!!
