Guest guest
Wheat berries are wheat! I had a dificult time with wheat and breads before the cleanse and before using sprouted grains, i even stopped eating bread and pasta made from wheat for about a year. Now that i use sprouted grain flour at home and sprouted grain bread, no problem. I sometimes sprout wheat berries to make veggie patties and also some dehydrated crackers. They're good on salad too! Guest guest
How do I make dehydrated crackers? What is your recipe for veggie patties? I need a good recipe for a veggie patty. So as long as I sprout the grain (whatever grain) it has a totally different effect inside my body, correct? Guest guest
Hi Elizabeth, What people refer to as grains typically are things that have the potential for sprouting into a plant, but they contain enzyme inhibitors which prevents that process. By soaking the grain you get rid of the enzyme inhibitors which allows it to turn into a plant, or vegetable! I love sprouting red wheat and winter wheat for my salads! Great flavor! :)Kelli Elizabeth Elliott [eliz3378] Friday, May 21, 2004 10:34 AMherbal remedies Subject: Herbal Remedies - Sprouted wheat berrie Hey I am wondering about sprouted wheat berries. Guest guest
Hi Lisa, I haven't seen a response from Sylvia, but I know that she has bought sprouted flour, as have a lot of us on this list. The company called Essential Eating offers a few different types, including sprouted spelt and sprouted wheat. :)Kelli Lisa Carter [randasmommy2003] Friday, May 21, 2004 11:32 AMherbal remedies Subject: Herbal Remedies - Re: Sprouted wheat berrieDo you buy the sprouted grain flour or do you grind the wheat berries
Guest guest
I got a grain mill for Christmas. I sprout my own wheat then dry it out again. I live in the desert so it only takes 5-7 days to dry. Then it's ready to mill. Guest guest
I buy grain, and mill it myself. What you would do is sprout the grain and then dry it in a dehydrator and then mill it. Guest guest
Depends on what you consider "least expensive". It costs less to do it yourself, but takes a great amount of time and some effort. We just buy the flour. With all the other things we have going on, making tinctures/decoctions/balms/etc, it is easier to buy the flour already made.
