Guest guest
Lisa....They are sprouted . It takes longer for some things to actually grow a tail . Sprouted means ( for our purposes) germinated . Doesn't have to have the shoot , just capable of doing so....Mary O - " Lisa Carter " <randasmommy2003 <herbal remedies > Friday, May 21, 2004 9:09 AM Herbal Remedies - sprouting beans > I'm making beans tonight for dinner. Guest guest
Great, Thanks. Is that the same way with almonds? Can you dry them (almonds) and roast them after to eat them plain? They are a faveorite snack for my kids. Lisa C. herbal remedies , " Ostrowski " <Odesign1@e...> wrote: > Lisa....They are sprouted . It takes longer for some things to actually grow > a tail . Guest guest
Lisa...Yes you can re dry the almonds but be sure you do it at a temp of 100 degrees , no higher . You can do it in a closed oven or sunny windowsill. If you roast at higher temps you will destroy the enzymes. It will take a few days to dry this way but it is worth it..Obviously cooking your beans will destroy enzymes BUT you will have gotten the enzyme inhibitors out at least ....Mary O
Guest guest
How do you eat beans? You don't cook them at all? Aren't they hard? I'm sorry so many questions. I'm very interested. Guest guest
Some things can be soaked, rinsed and then dried or refrigerated and eaten uncooked. I do that with wild rice (love it on my salads!) and almonds. White basmati rice and pinto beans I cook. If something's cooked, then it loses it's natural enzymes which are so good for the body. If they're soaked before you cook them, though, at least they have no enzyme inhibitors. I try things raw first, then cook 'em only when I have to. Guest guest
We do it with almonds and cashews. They make a fantastic snack in the morning before work, and in the evening before bed. Guest guest
I go through cycles of cravings. Usually it is beans and rice. It at times becomes all I can eat for days at a time. Either nothing else satisfies, or whatever the "nothing else" is actually makes me sick to my stomach. Whenever I get these cravings, I always go with basati rice and pinto beans! With hot peppers, of course. Love it!!!! JohnKelli Bever <kelli wrote: Some things can be soaked, rinsed and then dried or refrigerated and eaten uncooked.
