Guest guest
We have homeschooled for over 12 years now. My two oldest have graduated, and I've got a 9th, 6th, 4th, and kindergartener this year. :-) We homeschool year-round, so we won't officially be done with this school year 'til the end of August. Guest guest
Lisa.... Yes it is an adventure. You know critics would often give me the line about the potential lack of socialization/ social skills for my kids if I continue to homeschool and I would always say to them " Now if you want to see some serious lack of social skills/ socialization , go spend a day in a public school ! " THEN the same said critics would comment that it was amazing that my children looked a person directly in the eye when talking and they could talk so well to any age group! You go figure !! Guest guest
I can't imagine how it would destroy his personality and spirit if some one at school beat him up or teased him. All the ideas kids have now are MESSED UP. They all need a good smack on the backside. No, their PARENTS need a good smack on the backside.LOL Amazing how some parents don't bother to teach their kids it is NOT okay to tease or bully for ANY reason. A lot of kids learn that behavior from their parents. Messed up. Weird or not, Brock will stay home with me. Guest guest
You sound like me, my idea of a GREAT day is spending the entire day ALONE (with Brock of course). He on the other hand is very social and if I dont' take him somewhere for a couple days he'll bring me his shoes and say sternly "Bye Bye!" So I think of a place I can bring him; preferably somewhere other kids will be. He just loves EVERYONE. He gets it from his dad who is a social butterfly.
