Guest guest
If it's the one by Juliano, it's extremely gourmet and NOT for beginners to raw foods. If it's the one by the Bakers, that's a fairly decent albeit slightly outdated book. For easy raw foods books, I'd go with any of the ones by the Boutenko family, or the Complete Book of Raw Food which has a huge compilation of recipes in it, everything from easy to hard. - dianne Has anyone ever seen " The Uncooked Book " ? I've seen it advertised before and it sounded interesting all about ways to prepare raw foods. I was wondering if it was any good. Guest guest
My Two cents... I have Juliano's book and it was before i knew what i know now. There are lots of recipes and something for everyone. I like it alot. I have even shared some recipes that i 'adapted " from it. When i bought it over 3 years ago, we looked at several books ont he subject before deciding on that one and i knew nothing abouting eating raw or raw food prep. Guest guest
And Dianne should know. I've just had a chance to peruse Dianne's own book which she authored, and had published back in 1996. "Whole Foods Companion, A guide for Adventurous Cooks, Curious Shoppers & Lovers of Natural Foods" This book is excellent for giving you all the facts on the various different foods with a tremendous amount of historical data as well. I was especially pleased to see her recommendations for the sprouting of grains in that particular section. The book is published by Chelsea Green Publishing Company ISBN 0-930031-83-0 and is an excellent referrence source. Anyone interested in getting ahold of it should either try Amazon, or contact Dianne off list at: d_onstad Ya never know, ya just might get an autographed copy.
