Howdy all,

I've got another question:-) I'm looking for herbs for depression. We've

not done the cleanse, mostly cause hubby says " no " right now that is..:-)

But I eat , I'd say about a 90% raw diet at this point, no sugar, white

flour, grind my own grains , make and grow almost everything we eat , etc..

I've taken kava, apparently too long at one point and had a some serious

problems after a while (about 6 months).. Since my 18 yo has run off (having

her at 17 didn't guarantee we'd be buddies apparently,lol..) and is living

the life of a hellcat, and the growing season gettin' hoppin' and all.. I'm

having a hard time functioning normally and am seriously " down " .. I get lots

of sunshine (lay out on the trampoline every day now that it's bathing suit

weather:-) and try to drink lots of distilled water. Any thoughts?

Btw, I'm a CA. native (not too many of those anymore..) wouldn't go back

there though,lol.. ( born and raised in Ventura CA.) have lived in Co., Va.,

Ct., FL., and now TN.. the only one I want to go back to is FL! I love FL..

we just moved from there to Tn, and boy howdy I miss it.:-/

Thanks a bunch for any thoughts on the dep herbs!:-)

hugs,

Karen

Could you at least do a Form #1 and Form #2 colon cleanse?

I think constipation and old crud had a lot to do with my being bogged down

and depressed.

Dear Karen,

You can use herbs to relieve depression but not to "cure" it, and they would only be a temporary bandaid if no other lifestyle change was implemented as well.

Why does hubby say "no"???

Check the files and read the articles on:

1. Dwindling Spiral of Disease.

2. A Bedtime Story (or) How I discovered a Frankenfood Monster

3. The Hidden Influence.

These should help to head you in the right direction.

Hi Doc:-)

Yes, I know:-/ I just haven't known what other changes to make. I'll start with reading all those things you mentioned.:-)

Hubby says no mostly because we are dirt poor , (actually we're dirt rich, lol, and cash poor) and accumulating all the needed things seems daunting to him. (we were unemployed for over a year in this town of 1200 people and 5 factory shut downs) I have alot of herbs growing and many dried in a gigantic rubbermaid case on wheels, lol.so I was hoping I could utilize them. I found echinacea coming up near the pond on Sunday (wow was I happy to find that.:-)) But he is also afraid I'll just waste away or something. I have implemented so many changes for the positive ,but I do have a hard time eating enough to stay above 115 which is the lowest I feel healthy at at 5'7. He's just worried.:-/

I'll go read right now!;-) Thanks so much.:-))

I understand having difficulties with getting a hubby's approval. My DH thinks anything herbal or organic is a load of cr*p. Just a way for companies to make money off dumb people. Ha!

I was going to start sneaking in an order for one herb a month or every other month to start a nice collection but he went out and bought a $30,000 truck (we can't even afford cable) without mentioning it to me first. There goes that plan!!! Now FOOD is going to be a difficult thing to obtain.
