Hi Jamie,

Thanks for your response...so good for my spiritual heart to hear from a believer! I only have today on my computer then I will be returning to my mom's and be staying there. She has a computer but the e-mail program is messed up so she has to do e-mail on which means I can't be on a public board like Herbal Remedies other than to check the web site. Additionally, I put her bed in the living room where she can watch TV and fall asleep in something comfortable. Her computer is in the dining room. She is 86 and can still drive her car on the Los Angeles freeway system so she is in pretty good health.

For the last six months doctors have been having me take all kinds of heart medications. For the last two weeks I have only been taking aspirin and lasix/potassium.

You answered my question about the natural diuretic which takes care of the lasix. Is there an herb(s) that can help the blood insofar as clots go? I have what they call atrial fibrillation. This is a real erratic heart rhythm and an accelerated heart rate (pulse) that goes back and forth between 90 and 155 beats per minute. The cardiologists---I have seen several---insist that I need protection from blood clots because of this atrial fibrillation thing. I absolutely refused to take Coumadin, the standard medication for this, and settled on aspirin instead. Now, I would like to get off the aspirin as well as the Lasix.

I am staying at my mom's because I feel she is too old to be living alone. In addition, my doctor is just around the corner from her house. He is a solid believer with a strong faith. He is an MD, and also has doctorates in Nutrition and Theology. He used to be my doctor in the past before I move about 20 miles away and before I began having problems with my heart. Last Friday he handed me a list with:

Hawthorn

Co Enzyme Q

L-Carnitin

Fish oil

on the list. I have ordered quite a bit of these herbs and expect them along in the mail any day. My doctor says these four herbs will help my heart, actually do something positive to strengthen it. I am also trusting in the Lord Jesus of love to help by either helping the herbs to do their job or touching my physical being with His hand of love. I believe that sometimes He wants us to do our part, like eating and taking the proper things, and then He does His part.

The side effects from the medications were really bugging me and I had decided to stop them all and leave it to the Lord and the doctor hands me this note with the four herbs listed. I looked at it and there was a witness within my heart telling me to proceed in this direction.

So I just started this way last Friday and am trying to learn as I am going. Do you know anything about blood and blood clots?

Is it okay to be e-mailing you privately, asking a question now and then?

I am going to try and study the web site some today...
