Guest guest
Hi Mary O, I have atrial fibrillation--congestive heart failure--according to the doctors. My...what they call the primary physician---is an MD and has a doctorate in nutrition from USC and a couple of more doctorates--kinda slips my mind in this present moment. Anyway, I was grumbling away last Friday in his office, complaining that all the medicines that were being prescribed for me weren't doing anything to help my heart, that they were just prevention medications that were supposed to protect me from strokes and heart attacks and the side effects from these medications were making my life miserable, that I could not see any purpose in taking these medications if they were not going to help my heart, that I had quit taking them... He then handed me a prescription thing that had: hawthorn Co Enzyme Q L-Carnitine (not sure of the spelling) Fish oil I have been on this dreaded Lasix/Potassium chloride thing for 3 years and I want to get off---how's that sound? Hey, I want some relief from this medication jungle. Okay...About two weeks ago I, after studying things on the internet and having talking with several doctors and spending time in prayer, decided to stop taking everything but aspirin and the dreaded lasix/potassium. The theory on fluids seems okay to me. That is why I posted the mail asking about natural diuretics, i.e., herbal diuretics. I am somewhat new to the internet and know just about nothing about herbal remedies. - Ostrowski herbal remedies Sunday, May 09, 2004 5:20 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - Question please/ Terry Terry...There are many diuretics . Guest guest
Terry...Don't know if you have requested Doc's tape yet . If not , do so and listen to it. It is an eye opener. After you listen to it you can have a free consultation with the Doc. That is where you should start . I admire you for your courage and I DO believe you can do this. We are all here to encourage you....Mary
