Guest guest
Hi:-) I was wondering if anyone had heard of any natural treatments for hyperhydrosis. My daughter, who just turned 18, was born with it and is bound and determined to have surgery for this. The surgery I've been reading is not always successful and can actually make the problem much worse if unsuccessful.:-( Something to do with the sympathetic nerve or gland..something like that. She has it on her hands, feet and face. We've tried drysol, some kind of electric therapy (that was many years ago)..nothing works. Well, any thoughts would be appreciated. Guest guest
Hi Karen, I am definitely no expert here, but I have some speculations and suggestions. I am not familiar with this condition, but from the information that I have found on the Internet, there are some pertinent pieces of data. Such as, the fact that the sweat mechanism is influenced by the vitamin/mineral content of the body and metabolism. Although not stated specifically, I would also suspect that pH level influences this (as it does so many other things as well). I found specifically other influencing factors include: hormonal imbalances (e.g., menopause in women) overactive thyroid gland (The thyroid hormone increases body metabolism and heat production.) certain foods and medications (e.g., coffee with its high amounts of caffeine) overactivity of the sympathetic nervous system If your daughter is going for the surgery route, it seems that she is attempting to address the last factor, but completely ignoring the previous three, which may lead to other issues in the future. I would highly recommend the Total Body Cleanse for her. (Data is in the files.) Based on my own experience with the cleanse, I can tell you that it definitely handles metabolism issues, hormonal imbalances, thyroid imbalances, available vitamins and minerals to the body and pH levels. With these things addressed, your daughter would probably rethink the surgery. Guest guest
Hi Kelli, Thanks for the look up.:-) Yes, she has been unwilling to address a more whole body approach so far and I think it's mostly because all the doctors we've seen have been unwilling to test her for anything else.:-( I'm looking at the Total Body Cleanse right now (whoa), and the fact that she is already vegan seems like it wouldn't be too big of a deal for her to try.. (that's if her road kill eatin' boyfriend lets her..) :-( She was in Arnold Palmer Hospital a couple of years back and her thyroid function was fine at that point..she is incredibly prone to depression and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder , so hormonal imbalance would not be out of the question in my book. I really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks a bunch. KarenO

Guest guest
Karen, Just 2 cents to add here. The tests they run for Thyroid function/levels are so inconclusive it isnt funny! Often what is considered " in-range " for some is not good for others. And medications or sugeries offered for healing, oftne lead to other problems. So please do not let " Tests " , rule out any other options. There have been so many miraculous healings here from those who have done the cleanse, and although my healing was at the lower to mid end, still miraculous in my own book. Most of us that have been healed, turned here because we refused the conventional methods which either failed or did little to truly help. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter and hope that she will see that like her choice to be vegan, herbal healing is a very positive choice. Guest guest
Hi Sylvia:-) Yes, I was wondering if that was true because she was on various meds during that time..not to mention in liver failure..duh..:-/ But it was such a stressful time, I didn't question it then. We are very blessed that she recovered from all that, but she didn't begin to until we got her off all her meds and changed her diet completely. I'm excited to tell her about the cleanse.. she is acting very desperate about her condition.. I'm hoping to get hubby to do the cleanse with me also ..In Dec. he got one of his fingers cut off in a freak dog leash accident and found out during all that that he's got dangerously high blood pressure.. He's lost 20lbs. but is so fatigued. Marissa will hopefull try the cleanse with us! Thanks a bunch.:-)) KarenO Sylvia [h10feet]Thursday, May 06, 2004 4:14 PMherbal remedies Subject: Re: Herbal Remedies - hyperhydrosisKaren,Just 2 cents to add here.
