Hi Karen,

Welcome to the group!

I don't have any data for you on the flax oil, although I'm sure others here will. We have a LOT of really knowledgeable people on this group.

I don't know anything about that. Sounds like no one should ever use it if taking supplements but I've been doing it for quite a while and it never bothered me. I like flaxseed oil. I think you should continue using it. That's my opinion and based off of no data whatsoever.

Cheers,

Herbal Remedies - I just joined

Hi everyone,

I am so excited to find this group. I have always been into natural things. I make all my own foods and take alot of supplements. I need some feedback. I have been taking flax oil everyday. I was recently told that if you are taking vitamins and supplements, flax oil will interfere with the supplements so they are not absorbed properly. Can any of you comment on this? You hear so many things that you don't know if they are true or not. I stopped taking the flax oil, but I want to get back to using it again.

Thanks,

Kelli,

I'm sorry. I forget it's there most of the time. I will try to remember to remove it.

Flax seed oil increases vitamin D levels and retention of calcium, magnesium, and phosphate. It has naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, amino acids and EFA's.

Thanks Suzi,

I'm going back to using it. I make a drink for breakfast consisting of soy milk, oat bran, green powder, flax oil and blueberries. Then I make a drink of 1/2 orange juice, 1/2 water, and spirilina powder. I also have a real healthy recipe for oatmeat muffins. Let me know if anyone is interested and I will post the recipe.

I do know that flax seed oil is one of the top 3 oils for the human bodies on the planet. I thought it was #1 but I'm not totally sure of that.

Flax seed oil increases vitamin D levels and retention of calcium, magnesium, and phosphate. It has naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, amino acids and EFA's.

Thanks,

Karen in Arizona

Thanks Suzi,

I'm going back to using it. I make a drink for breakfast consisting of soy milk, oat bran, green powder, flax oil and blueberries. Then I make a drink of 1/2 orange juice, 1/2 water, and spirilina powder. I also have a real healthy recipe for oatmeat muffins. Let me know if anyone is interested and I will post the recipe.

Kelli,

I'm sorry. I forget it's there most of the time. I will try to remember to remove it.

Except for the soy milk, sounds a lot like the smoothies I make for my family for breakfast. The fruit varies according to what we have, but the rest is very similar. We use almond milk, trying to avoid soy at all costs!!!

That's what I need, ginkgo biloba. I'm not taking any. Does it interfere with other supplements?
