Guest guest
Okay, I did a dumb thing. We had some friends of Travis over yesterday for a BBQ (yes, I splurged on my diet, and will most likely pay for it later), along with thier father, of course. Beautiful day, sun shining, no wind. The three boys were out on the trampoline having such fun, we "grown ups" were sitting nearby, keeping an eye on them so they don't hurt themselves. (The suspense builds, music in the background, "what did he do???). Yes, I forgot I was no longer young, and got on the trampoline. I did my signature flip, cool, no problems. Then I jumped to the ground. So far so good. Until I landed. Yup, I blew out my knee. I can hardly walk now, but can't afford an emergency room visit or to miss any work. So I will be doing hot/cold therapy today, and whining like a big baby (that's my favourite part!). I'm also considering putting some cayenne salve on it, to keep the blood flowing to the effected area as well. Any other suggestions, other than "John, grow up, you ain't no kid no more"? Guest guest
I wish I did have some BFC!!! I do have a version of the DTR that our herbalist puts together for us based on the recipes I found here, but am almost out, and it takes her a few days to put it together. But hey, I got the whining part down pretty good already!! On a more serious note, I am sure to get into trouble with my wife when she wakes up! Not only was I doing something that I shouldn't have, but I refuse to go to the hospital (finances aside). I am sooooo upset that Travis is used to seeing me in the hospital. Guest guest
Total Healing Poultice Powder would help that. You need a comfrey whatever poultice sitting on it. Also do not take it internally. Because this would speed up the process of healing too much. (wink, wink). OUCH. I don't know if it should be elevated or not. Guest guest
Ouch ouch ouch, I feel so bad for you!! Just trying to have a little fun, huh!!! Dang bodies. Here’s a knee ‘exercise’ that sometimes does wonders. While sitting with your legs hanging down, extend the lower leg up as far as it will go, like out straight in front of you. Now here’s the ‘exercise’: take a full 20 seconds to do this. Lower the leg normally IE not timing it like when raising it up. Repeat this movement two more times on the same knee to total 3 reps. Then do the other knee due to the ‘stroke effect’. You can do this twice a day. This was developed by a Chiropractor that had hurt his knee. He was on the seminar circuit so he had been adjusted by just about every Chiropractor in the country with not much help. Putting all these experiences together, he developed this. Now, here’s the best part. When he showed this, I had a knee injury myself. I had run into a fence on my bike and hit my knee. Pain for awhile but after that I could no longer flex it when stooping down to the floor. This was a year old injury and I just figured ‘oh well, I’ll have to live with this, no pain, just look really funny when having to stoop down to the floor’. Here’s the bestest part J I did this ‘exercise’ for a couple of weeks and voila, I could again flex my knee!!!!!!!!! I still do it on occasion ‘cause old knee injuries have a way of rearing their ugly heads in later decades and I’m entering those later decades <groan> so will be really interested to see what happens with this knee. I’m sure the lemon egg, PP, weight management and all the other stuff I do will also help delay the effects. Golly, I hope it works for you. It might not work during the acute stage but keep it in mind and do it at some point just to strengthen your knees for the next time you want to play J And thanks so much for your rambling about juggling. I enjoyed hearing the history of it. I am definitely going to try it. I’m up for a new skill!!! And another thing: I do the same thing IE buy stuff in neat jars/bottles so I can have the jar/bottle!!! Anna

Guest guest
Thanks for thte excercise ideas, Anna! I'll try them and let you know how it works out. I'm glad you like the juggling idea. It is a great excercise, and loads of fun too!! The trick is to be able to juggle without looking at the juggling balls! And some of the best bottles I've gotten were salad dressing bottles of various types. Plus we have a great second hand store locally that we got some great oil/vinegar decanters from. Sounds like we're two peas in a pod. (How'd we get in this pod?). JohnDrCrandall <drcrandall wrote: Ouch ouch ouch, I feel so bad for you!! Just trying to have a little fun, huh!!! Dang bodies. Guest guest
Hi John, Thought I'd just chime in on this one. I have a homeschool Mom friend of mine who always says never to stop having fun with everything you do! Great advice until we get hurt and then it's no longer fun, huh! We have a bunch of girls in our group who are gymnasts and cheerleaders. They asked us Mom's to try some of our old moves. Old was the key word. We were all aching for , well it seemed forever. LOL!!! Feel better! My prayers are with you! Fern herbal remedies , John Ybarra <deuteronomy2929> wrote: > Okay, I did a dumb thing. ...Yes, I forgot I was no longer young, and got on the trampoline.
