Caroline...I have never redried for future use . Always use it too fast. I suspect that you can do that . You will have to try it out and let us know. Maybe someone on the list has already done that . SUZI????????...Mary O

Re: Herbal Remedies - Re: Question

Okay, just to be clear...I should soak it for about 9 hours...rinse out the water...and soak it changing the water twice a day...just as I would if I were sprouting mung beans or any other type of sprout...correct?

I just want to be sure I am doing it correctly! lol

Then, once they are sprouted, can I then dry them and store them for later use? or do I have to plan three days in advance if I want to eat a meal with rice? (like that will ever happen! lol)

I have done a few things with mine after sprouting - let it dry first (on a cookie sheet in the oven, but no heat running), cook it and then store it in the fridge, and leave it raw and just put it straight in the fridge. It will last longer if you dry it first, but I find that it gets too crunchy then. When I leave it raw and put it straight in the fridge after the rinse cycle, then I can just toss it on top of my cabbage salad and it's a great taste and texture!
