Guest guest
UN-TOAST!!! Dear Suzi et al, I have NEVER banned a person for posting an article or a piece on their religion. NEVER!!! I have always quietly looked the other way when this has happened, and have never done anything other than a gentle "correction" (on list) of the person, and then quietly placed them on Full Moderation so it doesn't happen again!!! Yes, it is in the files as being OT (off topic). Yes, it WAS a banning offense if the guilty one was a repeated offender, but I've just never done this. I've always practiced "tolerance" in this area. Always!!! Many people have signed their name with a Christian "blurb" on the end of it. Wiccans have done the same with their "Blessed Be's", and those who are into Mysticism have also added their "special words". Many, many others have done similar things. I've always, and deliberately looked the other way with these "additions". It is about time that the entire world practiced tolerance. It is up to us and other groups like ours to lead the way here. Right now, there are enough nuclear weapons on earth to fry every man, woman, and child about 50 times over. Even the cockroaches wouldn't survive if they were all set off. I've never explained it quite this way before, but it's about time we started focusing on "LOVE" and tolerance for our fellow man. There is way too much "Hate" in the world. Way too much! As a species, we need to grow up!!! Right now at this time, there is a tremendous amount of "Religion Bashing" happening with Islam. The PR firms and the media are in a frenzy of stereotyping all Moslems as being demons and agents of the Devil, etc. Sheesh!!! What a pile of crap!!! All this does is foster hate, and is nothing more than an attempt to keep the pot stirred for the supposed gain of vested interest groups. Why fall for this ruse??? As of right now, the policy (Sex, Religion, & Politics) is changed. Where it stated the person was "Banned" for violations of this policy, the new revision states that they will be put on "Moderation" and any of their posts which violate the above will simply be deleted and not allowed to be sent to the list. One and all should get the idea with this approach. When list members see a violation, please be tolerant and assured that a moderator will handle it as above. Please do not contribute to the "hate" by adding in snide comments!!! These are not appreciated, and ARE an instant banning offense under "Religion Bashing" in the General List Policies. This list is multi national and multi denominational with members from all over the world. As far as I am aware, every ethnic culture is represented on Herbal Remedies. All members of every faith, race, creed, and ethnic origin, are welcome and appreciated here. I love and respect the lot of you!!! As with choice of medical (natural or conventional) we all choose the "religious" (I hate that word, LOL) path that is best for us as individuals... You know if we were all alike in this world it would get VERY BORING INDEED! On the list is not a place for sharing our own views but in person I share when someone is interested..that's something I like to do.. I do love to share with you ALL about herbal remedies and other natural ways of healing..this is the place to do so as you know... Out in the world I get mixed reactions when sharing natural medicine... No matter the topic we all have our "own thing" that we like, do, believe in, etc... Let's face it none of us will agree 100% with someone else...we are all different. Life is so short and people are so dear... I for one agree Doc that we have tolerence...love...respect for each other! Anyway I am veryyyyy tired and rambling! Your All Fantastic in my book! Guest guest
Dear Jamie, Wellllll, you're fantastic in our books as well ;o) I actually wrote a poem about this whole topic and I'll share it with Y'all. Hope you like it. Love, Doc Crone Clone There once was an old clone of a crone With a face of chiseled hard stone Said the crone to the clone, I'll give ye a bone If only ye'd leave me alone. The clone got angry and said I'll not leave till one of us is dead For ye made me to glorify you Now yer tired of sharin the stew Would ye really like to be me? Or have me bein you? I'd rather praise the difference And the beauty of the two.
