If they are totally submersed in water - yes.

Prevent freezer burn. Doesn't matter if the filets are done up in a seal a meal, they don't last long until freezer burn sets in. I remember my mom freezing in water and just curious if that was a better way.

If I remember right my mom at times use 1/2 of a milk carton. You

can also (never done it) but some people would freeze crab in milk.

Pam

thanx, suzi - I guess than if it is totally submerged according to

you it is a good way to freeze it ?.

I take it there is some confusion here ? HMMMMMM ????

I've never done it myself. My mom (our family salmon fished

together years ago when I was a kid). Mom would take the salmon

filets and submerge them in a container of water so it looks like a

salmon ice cube. She used milk cartons/paper type. She cut them in

half length wise (i'm sure there is other containers to use)than she

would lay a salmon portion in the water and put them in the chest

freezer. Our neighbor who cought alot of crab would submerge it in

milk and freeze it.
