Guest guest
Hello all:-) I was wondering if you could answer a question about a problem a friend is having. I'm content in searching the archives for answers to my problems for now,lol.. Well, yesterday the husband of a good friend of mine was rushed to the hospital with terrible abdominal pain. They have diagnosed him with acute pancreaitis(sp?).. He does not drink alcohol and has no history of gall stones..doesn't even know what an attack feels like, and I'm pretty sure he'd remember that,lol.. He is a midwest type eater(no offense to any hoosiers here:-)..meaning veggies are there to balance the plate out and he may or may not eat them. He likes meat and potatoes.. He doesn't drink soda, mostly bottled water..exercises moderately but is maybe 15 lbs overweight?? not too sure. He's 30 years old btw. He has a moderately stressful life (takes a train into chicago an hour both ways to work..gag..).. I realize this seems vague ,but his symptoms are so extreme, like writhing in pain type stuff..:-( Although he's content to be watching cable and being waited on in the hospital right now.:-) Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on what could cause something like this and what is a good place to start for him.. Thanks a bunch!:-) Blessings, Karen in TN http://groups.msn.com/theorosfamily
