(Special Notice Edition)

Dear All,

Normally, I'd simply create a Poll for something like this, but I

really need your feedback on this rather than just choosing from a

selection. I'm trying to find a " GREAT " magazine to recommend to my

students and clients, so that they can to them and keep

their interest up in Natural Healing. So these are my two questions.

#1. What do you consider to be the absolute BEST magazine on the

subject of Natural Health???

#2. If there is more than one (can't make up your mind between two

or three of 'em), do you have a personal favorite (Magazine) that

you keep coming back to.

I'd welcome an open list discussion on this for I find that when you

live, breath and sleep " Natural Health " , it makes it easier to stay

on a regimen.

Thanks for your input and help on this guys. It is tremendously

appreciated.

Much love,

Doc

PS. You can send me your answer privately if you wish to:

Thanks Anna,

This was my thought also.

We all focus better when we constantly surround ourselves with the subject matter in question.

What made you decide to try the Herb Quarterly when you've not read it???

Love,

Doc

PS. Thanks for the vote of confidence in my articles ;o)

RE: Herbal Remedies - Hot Mag Sources

I’m with Suzi, most of my info comes from the ‘net these days. BUT, if you want to lean back while reading then get a laptop. Very handy as you can look up all kinds of stuff while reading. I use word web pro for a dictionery. Just click on a word and then click on the icon in the toolbar and voila, the definition. I read a lot of ebooks too and when I run across something that I want to check out further I head over to Google. I also love watching DVD’s….up close and personal and again if something comes up that I want to know more about, hit ‘pause’ and head off to the ‘net!! Limoncello mentioned in Under The Tuscan Sun really is a drink and a yummy one from the description, haven’t tried it yet. Even found a recipe for it. Also, where exactly is Tuscany in Italy? Just head over to MS Streets & Trips and ‘Oh, that’s where it is’.

Oh, but to answer your question J I did recently to Herbs For Health. I like it. Being Christian I skip over some of the hooey hooey stuff but there’s some great articles and recipes. And you’re on the right track, Doc, as it does keep me focused on a healthy lifestyle. And the ads are good too. Have found sources for items that are hard to find. I also d to Herb Quarterly but haven’t received it yet. Will let you know on that one. Ordered both from www.magselection.com Oh, and one other thing, no drug ads like Prevention. Ya suppose poor old Rodale is spinning in his grave? What a sell out, huh!!

Hey, Doc, you should submit some articles or as already suggested publish your own!!!!!!!!

i took Mother Earth for years and also Organic Gardening , but since as time went on, OG became more of a religious work than gardening and after the Dr died, the kids, or whoever, got really carried away going commercial and i just got tired of trying to find something iteresting among all the commercials. i guess there might be something for new gardeners, but it got to be the same ole same ole trying to sell weight loss fads..?fads?and soforth. but that's just my opinion. i even stopped Nat'l geographic my most beloved mag as it really went too commercial, too.

Hi Doc,

In my opinion: For patients that don't have much time or aren't very savey about natural medicine, I recommend Alternative Medicine (used to be Alternative Medicine Digest). It carries articles not only on herbs, but on natural healing in general & is written in layman's terms/language. For people who are scientific minded or are professionals, I recommend Alternative Therapies--that's Larry Dossey from Santa Fe's mag. Also, it's general info regarding natural medicine, not just herbs.

Hope that helps.

To All,

#1, None at present; Mostly Traditional

Magazine. But these are not what you all like.

#2, I would much like you to recommend some of Magazines

for natural healing.

#Conclusion,

Preventive medicine is true healing medicine. Herbal supplement

and food are most important for biologic healing.

My favorites:

Herbs for Health

The Herb Companion

The Herb Quarterly

HerbalGram (scientific, updates on regulatory, etc.)

Alternative Medicine (I pick one up occasionally, although I object to the excessive advertising)

Life Extension Foundation (has some good articles, but focuses largely on sales of their own products - very expensive)

Sorry Doc... I read all mine (herbal & health stuff) on the internet... Haven't picked up a magazine since I can't remember...

Dear All,

Normally, I'd simply create a Poll for something like this, but I really need your feedback on this rather than just choosing from a selection. I'm trying to find a "GREAT" magazine to recommend to my students and clients, so that they can to them and keep their interest up in Natural Healing. So these are my two questions.

#1. What do you consider to be the absolute BEST magazine on the subject of Natural Health???

#2. If there is more than one (can't make up your mind between two or three of 'em), do you have a personal favorite (Magazine) that you keep coming back to.

I'd welcome an open list discussion on this for I find that when you live, breath and sleep "Natural Health", it makes it easier to stay on a regimen.

Thanks for your input and help on this guys. It is tremendously appreciated.

Much love,

Doc

Herbal Remedies - Re: Hot Mag Sources

Doc,I like to look into many different kinds of alternatives, so I don't really know if this will help you any, but my favorites are; Alternative Medicine, and Natural Health. :)Carrie Ann
