Guest guest
Sorry Doc... I read all mine (herbal & health stuff) on the internet... Haven't picked up a magazine since I can't remember... SuziDoc Shillington <DocShillington wrote: Dear All, Normally, I'd simply create a Poll for something like this, but I really need your feedback on this rather than just choosing from a selection. I'm trying to find a "GREAT" magazine to recommend to my students and clients, so that they can to them and keep their interest up in Natural Healing. So these are my two questions. #1. What do you consider to be the absolute BEST magazine on the subject of Natural Health??? #2. If there is more than one (can't make up your mind between two or three of 'em), do you have a personal favorite (Magazine) that you keep coming back to. I'd welcome an open list discussion on this for I find that when you live, breath and sleep "Natural Health", it makes it easier to stay on a regimen. Thanks for your input and help on this guys. Guest guest
Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Not a bad idea Mary. What would we call such a Magazine??? We could get Herbal Remedies list members to contribute articles to it. Organic Gardening is a good mag for the Gardner, but I'd like to stick with mags that focus on "Health" issues. I believe that Organic Style does this but have never read a copy (better pick one up ;o). Any others guys??? Guest guest
No problem hon. I'm pretty much the same way, but I think I'd like to change my habits on this one. I used to really enjoy climbing into my lazyboy with a good book or a good mag, and I think it's time I put that back in. Not that I'm getting old or anything. Guest guest
I have to Second this! My ultimate resource for info is here, then research onine, then any books i may see or hear about. I read the little freebie mags they distribute the the HSF's and sometimes they have a decent article here or there. As far as subscribing, I've skimmed some of the one's mentioned in usbsequenet posts and just not very thrilled with any of them, the only subscription mag i have been intersted in getting lately is Natural Home. So when can we expect to see HR on the newsstands???? Sylvia herbal remedies , " Ostrowski " <Odesign1@e...> wrote: > Doc....I have not found ONE that I love . Guest guest
I’m with Suzi, most of my info comes from the ‘net these days. BUT, if you want to lean back while reading then get a laptop. Very handy as you can look up all kinds of stuff while reading. I use word web pro for a dictionery. Just click on a word and then click on the icon in the toolbar and voila, the definition. I read a lot of ebooks too and when I run across something that I want to check out further I head over to Google. I also love watching DVD’s….up close and personal and again if something comes up that I want to know more about, hit ‘pause’ and head off to the ‘net!! Limoncello mentioned in Under The Tuscan Sun really is a drink and a yummy one from the description, haven’t tried it yet. Even found a recipe for it. Also, where exactly is Tuscany in Italy? Just head over to MS Streets & Trips and ‘Oh, that’s where it is’. Oh, but to answer your question J I did recently to Herbs For Health. I like it. Being Christian I skip over some of the hooey hooey stuff but there’s some great articles and recipes. And you’re on the right track, Doc, as it does keep me focused on a healthy lifestyle. And the ads are good too. Have found sources for items that are hard to find. I also d to Herb Quarterly but haven’t received it yet. Will let you know on that one. Ordered both from www.magselection.com Oh, and one other thing, no drug ads like Prevention. Ya suppose poor old Rodale is spinning in his grave? What a sell out, huh!! Hey, Doc, you should submit some articles or as already suggested publish your own!!!!!!!! Anna
