Guest guest
Hi everyone I just joined the group and would like to introduce myself. My name is Jamie. My husband and I have been TTC for about 10 months now. I was on the drug Depo Provera as my BC method for about 5 years. Because of the Depo I did not have a period for those 5 years. It causes your ovaries to kinda go to sleep. Well the problem is that mine haven't woken back up. My menses have started again but they are very irregular and I have been charting my BBT but it shows no sign of ovulation. So that leads me to my question. Does anyone know of any herbs that can help with jumstarting ovulation? If so how do I take them? I know that there are hormonal methods but since that is what has gotten me into this mess I was trying to steer clear of them if I can. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA. Guest guest
Hello, My name is Zeb. I'll give helping you a shot. First, what is TTC? Depo? BBT? BC? and TIA? Not been in groups or forums for over 5 years so have to relearn everything here. Without knowing what those things are I'd still throw in that there are other things going wrong with your body. For a real handle on all of the problems you face monthly, weekly and daily why don't you give us a brief description of your other problems physically. i.e. don't sweat much, tired, too much/little weight etc. How is your skin and hair? How is your breath etc. All this will help. Zeb - jwoogy herbal remedies Wednesday, April 28, 2004 1:29 PM Herbal Remedies - Ovulation Problems? Guest guest
Yep they got it. TTC-Trying to Conceive BBT-Basal Body Temperature BC-Birth Control TIA-Thanks in Advance Except for the Blood Pressure issues I am pretty healthy. I have a Mitral Valve Prolapse (basically a floppy valve in my heart) which is the cause for my High Blood Pressure. Many times it is referred to as " Click Murmur Syndrome " It is not a serious thing but does require monitoring. The main concern with it is that I am pre-medicated before going for any dental procedures, biopsies, etc. Now that my Blood Pressure is under control (with the help of Toprol 100mg/day and HCTC-water pill/daily) I am feeling good. I could stand to lose a few pounds also but who couldn't. Yes, Depo is an evil form of Birth Control and I do not recommend it for anyone. It plays with your total system and the bad part is that you don't really realize how bad you were feeling until after you are off it. Sorry this post is so lengthy. I hope I answered everyones questions. Thanks so much for the info I have received already. And any more help will be greatly appreciated. I will try to post often but I don't always get the chance.
