Greetings,I hope I didn't get anyone too upset by my statement. My objective was to make it clear that anyone who abuses herbs, they become toxic to the body. I was hoping that any new people coming into this group would not think it was alright to think that if alittle is good, maybe alot is better.I am studying to become a Professional Member of the American Herbalists Guild and know that there are toxic levels of herbs. Knowledge is the key factor. I also despise prescription drugs that put a bandaid on symptoms.Thank you for your replies. Have a good day,Marlene

Not upset at all Marlene.

I value most input on any topic as we all have a lot to learn and it gets the brain thinking.

As with any form of healing there are different belief systems and views. Even with Herbalists there can be a huge difference of opinion on the what and how to's if you know what I mean.

We all will never agree 100% on every topic but that is not always bad as it promotes individual research.. People need to investigate and learn on their own and take responsibility for their health. You can never rely 100% on anyone. We are all here with basically the same herbal belief system but even our views can vary from time to time. Self education is very important.

Herbs in my opinion are very safe and unless there are other factors such as prescription meds... You can feel very safe when using herbs. Again it goes back to educating yourself.

Speak up more often and give your input, I personally would like to hear from you on your idea of treating and cleansing.. Just remember all things spoken in kindeness to each other here and then the difference of opinion doesn't hurt others.

Just my opinion here!

God Bless,

Awesome Marlene,

The reason we jumped on it is because the toxicity in the body cause by herbs will be voided by the body via one or more of the orifices. As opposed to drugs in capsules that permeate the body and totally get stuck and muck all the bodily flow up to where the body cannot get rid of them.

The body can, will and does get rid of anything natural that is an "overdose". The "side effect" is the body using what it can to heal whatever it can depending on the herbs healing qualities.

What I'm trying to say is that by throwing out that you can "overdose" on herbs is misleading. What is meant by overdose when your not talking about herbs, generally death is the result. With herbs it is never the result if that is all you are overdosing on.

A dose is the necessary amount to obtain the desired result. That's my personal definition at least. So lets not scare anyone. If I want my Vitamin C for the day and eat 5 oranges I've overdosed. Herbs, natural organic food etc cannot be overdosed to dangerous proportions unless vomiting is dangerous.

Love,

Zeb
