Hi all,

I was wondering: do any of you know how mugwort (Artemisia) came to

be named after the goddess Artemis? What is the connection, why is

this herb linked with her?

I think it is because the leaves have a silver hue to them.

Artemis was associated with Silver

My mom and I were just discussing the Artemisia family last week and

i remember one of the things i read, made mention of silver.

Artemis carried a quiver of Silver arrows and i think Apollo had Gold

ones.

Anyway here is link that will tell you more.
