Our puppy gets the pulp from carrots and apples when i juice, and

sometimes orange.

We made all the animals a tonic which we made from 4 parts TT, 1 part

Vit C cystals, 1 part Astragulus/Rishi 1 Part MSM and 1 Part Aloe gel.

The cats were not at all impressed! The puppy liked it though

Bonnie,

I had him on a raw food diet...then I got poor and he went back on kibble...but now I am working on getting him back on raw. At this time he eats one chicken back...one pork neck bone and some miscellaneous gizzards and hearts. I then make him up a mash of one raw egg...shell and all...ground beef...chicken livers...nutritional yeast...I break open a fish oil capsule and mash up a B50 tablet in there as well.

For now he also still gets kibble until I can get him off of it completely. His stool is showing signs of handling it all well, which was my main concern. I almost have him totally off of the kibble.

Any other ideas would be grand...I'm very open to suggestions and am willing to make whatever changes necessary.

Thanks!

Caroline,

many times when a dog is gluton intolerant it shows as a skin problem. Sounds as if you are on the barf diet and sounds as if it is working for him. I would also add some kelp to his diet because it seems as if he may be vitamin or mineral deficient. Do you to TN? If so, its great for your dog also. The TT will help also to detox his system. A nice infusion to make for him would be a burdock root and red clover infusion (when I say infusion, i'd steep the herbs for 4-8 hours in a covered jar prior to feeding them) and store it in the refrigerator once you strain it. The burdock and red clover will help his skin heal while infusing his body with nutrients.

I think that you will see a big difference when you loose the kibble and go to straight raw.

Good luck

Dear Syl,

I tried all sorts of mash mixes and I can tell you that usually the only reason they don't like it is quantity and also VitC is a very strong flavor that they can detect a mile away and have very little interest in. So give it in tintsy quantities. Too much VitC will make them lose Vit B as the body pushes it out with the excess C.

Thanks for the info Zeb.

I dont give pulp to the cats, only to the dog (because the cats wont

eat it!) And i only give him Orange once in a great while. He

really prefers apple pulp, but he mostly gets carrot.

The Natural healing book i have for pets says it is ok to give both

dogs and cats Vitamin C and Cayenne; and it is such a small amount in

the tonic we made, i dont think it is a problem. the reason the cats

dont like it is due to the TT i put in (aka really hot stuff). our

littlest cat (who only weights about 4.5 pounds) went flying down the

hallway for like the next 2 mintues, but the whopper cat (17 pounds)

he just got mad and walked off.

We've been trying to give both the dog and the cats any human food

they will accept to supplement their diets with good stuff. We also

give them homemade broth whenever we make some for ourselves. They

all like it when hubby eats salmon...go figure? Their main diet is

kibble, but we opt for the better stuff over grocery store stuff.

We were prompted to make the tonic for them, due to the big cat being

sluggish again and we suspect he may have a bug or parasite. He goes

out in the late afternoon/early evening and we think he may have

eaten something bad.

Bonnie,

At this time I am in the process of putting together my TN and my TT will be ready for pressing on the full moon! :o) I will definitely be adding these to thier diet. Do I use the 150 rule for the dog as well to determine how much I give him? How much TT do you think would be good? I'll definitely try the infusion...as I said I am willing to give anything a shot. I hopefully will have him totally off of kibble in the next few weeks. The big problem is my little girl dog. She loves the kibble and is resisting the ground beef meal. She will eat the chicken neck and pork neck...as long as no one is watching her...but she won't eat the mash I make. She weighs a whopping 13 lbs so I don't need to get too much more food into her but she definitely needs more and she loves the kibble so I know at least she is getting food in her belly. I don't know...I guess if I took it away altogether she might eat the mash...might be worth trying for a couple of days...or I may have to try a new mixture...she is so very difficult! lol

Re: Herbal Remedies - TT - dehydrated spice

Caroline,

many times when a dog is gluton intolerant it shows as a skin problem.

Good luck

Re: Herbal Remedies - TT - dehydrated spice

Thanks!

Caroline,

If your little girl is not having a problem with the kibble (as long as its a healthy kibble with a lot of meat in it) than why worry about her. Your concern is the dog that is having the problem. Why wait a few weeks to drop the kibble, drop it today !!!!! I don't know what the 150 rule is but basically, assume that a human dose is based on a 150 lb adult and use the proper percentage for your dogs weight. This way you will see results much faster. Good luck. And yes, if you don't offer your little one kibble, guaranteed she'll start to eat what you feed her within a few days. It's like with our children, if you don't offer them junk and they can't find it in your home they will eat what is there. (yup, they will find junk at other peoples homes, but well that's life. My kids 13 & 16 always complain that we have "no good food" and I just laugh at them, our dogs are just like us, except they need meat to be healthy and we don't, well some of us don't :)

So did my mom Friday afternoon LOL

My mom was over Friday afternoon and i had a dish full of the TT

dehydrated mash " spice " sitting on the counter. I had previously

given her a bunch of horseradish we didnt use on last batch of TT and

she said she was out. So i offered to give her some of the TT spice,

to which she says " let me see " , reaches into the little jar grabs a

pinch and pops in her mouth. i'm saying hold on, hold on...but oo

late LOL she start hacking and chocking and I said i tried to warn

you but you just grabbed it and popped it in.

Anyway it was funny at the time and John's post reminded me. Looks

like a busy weekend here and i'm off to skim the messages

When I used to use sinus sprays, I would get terrible sinus infections! My whole head felt like it would explode. And I have chronic headaches anyway, so these were even worse!! Anyway, I never get a sinus infection when I use the TT mash powder, and my sinuses stay clear about twice as long.

Oh Candace, it is great for sinuses, etc.... and MUCH BETTER than any nasal spray you could buy.
