Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health. Guest guest
But if you're taking your total nutrition and doing organic juices... it seems that the baby should be getting all the good stuff. Guest guest
Yes, it is a concern, and again, as I said in my last post on this, alot has to do with the overall health of the mom, so it is not a Black and White issue. A juice fast can turn on a full blown detox and a healing crisis, and can not only give some (not all) of those toxins to the baby, but can even dry up a lactating mother before her time under certain circumstances. It's not that this is the norm, and (one more time) it depends on the overall health of the mom. These can be done, but you should be very well prepared and know what the hell you're doing if you do this. Never do one of these without some Echinacea and Total Tonic on hand. Make sure your juices are made from fresh organic fruits and vegetables. This whole area is a bit of a "Catch 22" if you know what I mean. You want to raise a healthy baby, and give it the best nourishment, but Mom is toxic and sick, and so is not producing the greatest milk in the first place. We want to raise the condition of Mom's health so that she can produce better milk for baby, but in the process of detoxing mom, we toxify baby. Please realize that this should not necessarily scare you, as detoxing baby can be much easier than detoxing mom. It's just that wisdom and "gradient scales" should be used here so that nothing serious or damaging happens to either mom or baby. Try a one day juice fast first to see how that goes, and make sure you're taking the Ech and TT when you're doing it. This way baby will also get some of the antibiotic effects of the TT and some of the immune system fortifying effects of the Echinacea. Remember, a baby's immune system is not fully developed until after 3 years of age, and therefore needs all the help it can get. Then a week later, I'd try a two day juice fast while taking the TT and the Ech. Then if all went well with that, the following week I'd do the three day juice fast. A total body cleanse should be done in the same way and spread out over 2 to 3 months instead of the normal 4 weeks. At the first sign of a healing crisis turning on, you'd want to stop the cleanse but keep up with the TT and Ech, until it smooths out again and you're ready to continue. Regardless, the chances of permanently doing any damage to either Mom or baby are slim or next to nil, but let's use our common sense here. OK??? Hope this answers it for all of you.
