Guest guest
I have been an off and on juicer for many years. I have started back up again over the last month and am enjoying a great morning fruit juice with my son. He doesn't like the vegetable juices as much as the fruit, but I do so I make a good vegetable juice usually as an afternoon snack when I get home from work. Anyway, on to my question....I went a little nuts this past weekend and over bought pears and grapes. They were starting to go bad and I wanted to juice them so that I would not lose them. I know that fresh juice is best, but is it okay to juice it and keep it in the fridge and drink it for a couple of days? Or should I freeze it? I have some freezing in an ice tray right now, figured I would at least try it, but thought I would ask you guys since you all seem to know so much about this stuff. Thanks in advance for all of your help! Caroline
Guest guest
OH yes, we juice pears all the time. The juice is incredible! I do have a dehydrator...but for some reason I don't really care for dried pears...I LOVE dried apples and many other fruits but pears dried don't appeal to me. We just bought a dehydrator that way anything that is on the way out could be dried and eaten as a snack later. But I too would like an answer to your question? And if one could keep it in the fridge for a couple of days, what should one do to preserve it for those coupple of days, add a little lemon juice3? I'm on day 2 of the 3 day juice fast on the total body cleanse, and I would really love to have some of people's favorite juice recipes if they're willing to share! Thanks! Kelli I like carrot, beet, celery and tomato! God Bless, Jamie in AZ

I personally like it really fresh so haven't kept it more than a day myself. The enzymes begin to die off right away so the fresher the better. I would think after 24 hours your really not getting much from the juice. God Bless, Jamie in AZ

Kelli Your welcome Kelli.... That is my favorite veggie combo. It would be like a carrot base with 1/2 beet and a tomato or two depending on size and 1 or 2 celery stalk. I usually make at least 1 quart to drink at a time. God Bless, Jamie in Az
