Guest guest
Sorry Caroline... I'm still trying to get up to date after surgery and the dizzies... If you wanted you could make TT without the black walnut hulls... however, powder is fine.. usually if it calls for 1 part..... and the herb is powder... I usually go for 1/2 as powder is more condensed... so a 1/2 part.Caroline <ladyguinevere wrote: I asked about this the other day but did not get a response so I figure the message got lost in the midst of things and I'll just ask again! ) I can not find any black walnuts anywhere. Therefore the hulls are not something I am able to find, obviously. I did, however, find black walnut hull powder in a local store. Is this sufficient to use? If so, how do I use it for the Total Tonic to equal a handful as it states in the recipe. That is the only ingredient that I can't find for the TT. Thanks for being so good about answering all of my questions...as I stated...I'm very new to this and don't want to do something wrong. Guest guest
Caroline, Here is what we did. Have you made Lemon Egg, or at least read about it in the files? This is a similar concept. You take your organic raw egg, with an uncracked shell, whole and clean, and put it carefully in the liquid left after pressing the TT. It should be totally submerged. Let it sit for a few days, swishing gently every now and then. The ACV in the TT will leach the calcium off of the egg and into the liquid. When you see that the shell is mostly disolved (you will be able to tell when you gently swish it), carefully remove the raw egg, still covered and contained by the membrane. I saved mine and boiled it (like a hard boiled egg). It tasted FANTASTIC!!! Anyway, the liquid is now TT with calcium. Shake well before taking. It does alter the taste of the TT, but not necessarily negatively. Hope this helps!!! And hope you have a GREAT day!! JohnCaroline <ladyguinevere wrote: John, Thanks for the advice. I was actually just reading the Flu and Cold remedy in the files and was noticing that the ingredients there for TT did not include the walnut hulls and wondered just what you were saying. In regards to the egg, I could definitely use more calcium and wanted to know, do you simply add a hand full of egg shell as you do the other ingredients? Thanks so much...this really helps me!
