I think you should just keep it. It cannot hurt and you can play and learn from it. Worst comes to worst use it as a cayanne tincture.

Herbal Remedies - How to mess up a tonic

 

Some days I really shouldn't be in charge of any thing. This was one of those days.

I went into the city and got the herbs to make the Eyebright Tonic (and the oil for the salve, but that made it through fine). So I put twice as much cayanne as I should and totally screwed up the alcohol to water ratio. I had in my mind that I had 190 proof but I acctuall have 100 so I cut it with water. DUHHH! So I just dumped anout twice as much alcohol in. Should I keep this or do I need to start over again?

Honestly you can still recover it. Just give some to some family memebers and even out the ratio's. Best way to do this is to write down everything you did and then sit back and write down everything step by step you need to do to correct it.
