Candace my wisdom teeth have been slowly emerging last several

years, im 26..and every year since i was about 17 they'll give me a

week of terrible headaches, where they were pushing up..even way

before they started showing, i only have the very corners out now..

the dentist i saw in nov did x-rays and right away said id need them

out before they start causing me pain or start decaying and then

make things more painful.. i asked the assistant if they ALWAYS end

up decaying, she slightly hesitated and that's all i needed:) but

said they usually get ipacted or decay after coming out due to not

being able to clean or massage the area well since its way back

there. Ive always rubbed the area when id get my headaches, i think

that helped mines come out..

That is weird about the dentist not wanting to get them out, just

about every dentist wants to rip those baby's out, pain or no pain..

Thought I had a jaw problem or an inner ear problem (no ear

infections, though) and I should go see a doc (since when do

dentists refer you to doctors?)If the doc says it's my wisdom teeth

causing the pain, then I should get them out asap.

Loren, when i was about your age i went to the dentist and when i told him that neither of my canine teeth had ever come in (no gaps, just no canines.)

he insisted on xrays and he said they could be up in my jaws somewhere and if they began to decay, it could cause the jawbone to decay also and that could be pretty bad. i, for some reason, decided that there were no canines in my jaws, but finally allowed the xray. He was really disappointed that there were no canines in the jaws<G> I was relieved as i did not want to have to have a surgical removal! I am sure it could be a problem had they been there. he decided that i was a 100 years advanced in evolution as he claims that people will eventually loose the canines since we do not have to have them to rip up raw meats..LOL
