Guest guest
Hi, my name is Heather. I am 23 years old, married and have two children. I just started to get into natural medicines and herbs. I read a book called Tonic by Robert A. Garnett. I also have 'Prescription for Herbal Healing' by Phyllis A. Balch, CNC. Because I am soooo new to this I fear I might be reading the wrong stuff. I would like a book I can trust. What do you reccomend? Also, How much does a visit to a Naturopath generally cost. I have one that frequents my area and would like to see her about... 1. My four year olds nasal congestion and reoccuring ear infections. 2. My acne 3. My depression 4. Help with loosing wieght. I have a large appetite and crave foods. Suggestions welcome I am recieving some Kefir from a friend. I have done some reading about the product and am concerned. This company that sells a starter kit says you can only use your kefir 7 times and then you need to start from new kefir. My friend uses her kefir over and over. I know it is really good stuff because her friend paid close to $1000 to get it. Can you reuse kefir over and over? Is ther a different kinds of kefir? Thanks, Heather

Guest guest
Hi Heather, Welcome! On the books, I haven't heard of the first one, but "Prescription for Herbal Healing" is one I've seen multiple members of this group recommend in the past. I know that you can get a lot of information on this group for free! Check out the files, especially on the Total Body Cleanse and the 3 Day Juice Fast. I've done both and I can say that I have received DRAMATIC health benefits from both. For your 4-yr old's congestion and ear infections, my first question would be is he/she eating dairy products? If so, I would cut those out immediately. They are very mucous producing and not at all good for the human body. (Baby cows, yes, humans, no! Tell us some more about your diet (food, drink, medications, etc) and habits (cigarettes? exercise? etc.) and we'll all try and help you as much as possible. :)Kelli heasue2003 [heasue2003] Saturday, April 03, 2004 4:01 PMherbal remedies Subject: Herbal Remedies - Very new to all thisHi, my name is Heather.
