Well, about half a year ago, maybe less, I had feinting spells when I was driving home from work one night. My wife took me to the emergency room and they ran some tests. They then strongly suggested I see my regular doctor. After a series of tests including a liver biopsy, it was determined that I had liver damage so extreme that I would most likely need a transplant. I was advised to make sure that my will and life insurance were up to date.

My diet up to that point was good, but not great. Very little meat, usually only chicken. No fast foods, mostly fresh fruit and veggies.

So we got agressive. I made a tincture to help heal my liver, and did my first ever three day juice cleanse. After all of this, I had more liver work done, including another biopsy. This time they had the results sent down to the Bay Area for review, along with the results of my first biopsy. More blood tests were ordered, and done on a monthly basis to compare any changes "as they occurred".

I went completely milk and meat free, all fresh fruit and veggies. The liver tincture three times a day at least (tastes absolutely horrible), Total Tonic, Dragon Snot and Lemon Egg every day. Castor oil packs at nignt.

Then I got the call from the liver specialist's office. They needed to see me right away. I was terrified, Marilyn was a mess emotionally, even Travis could sense it.

When I got there, the doctor told me he'd never seen anything like it. The second biopsy showed definite signs of rebuilding the damage, and the levels of all the things they test for were closer to what they were supposed to be (except the level of iron in my blood. Way too high). He even showed me the flowsheet that they use to chart any change. I saw the drastic change in numbers, but have no idea what they meant, except that they were getting lower.

Since then, I am no longer yellow/jaundiced. My hair has stopped falling out (that's why I cut it a while back), my diahrea redused significantly, and my side no longer feels like it was kicked by a horse.

We have since done another three day juice cleanse, and I did the castor oil packs again, and my latest tests show marked improvement. So much so that the specialist asked for my written permission to use my case in a paper he was publishing. He was severely downplaying the herbal aspect, and relying on the "advice" he gave me as the cause of improvement. I said no. I intend to do my own paper.

When all this first came to light, we were pretty scared. This list provided not only sound practical advice, but also moral support to such a high level and standard that I honestly believe you all saved my life, literally.

At the time, we were watching a movie, can't remember which one. The main character turns to his lady love and says, "I'd die for you". Marilyn looked at me and asked, "would you die for me?". I said, "no, not yet, but I WILL live for you". We made a decision together that I would recover from this, and we would be the better for having gone through it.

In a nutshell (how'd I get in this nutshell?), that's it. And SOMEONE had better laugh at my "nutshell" joke, or I'll keep telling it!!!
