Guest guest
Hey, what do you know? It is me again with a Bernie's problem. My cat was in a fight and now has an infection in his lid, very close to the duct canal. I have been giving him homeopathics but his discharge is inmense. As I refuse to take him to the vet again, I am now giving him Hepar Sulph as I read it is good for wound discharges. I also every so often have applied a little honey, but don't want to promote scarring at this point until all the pus goes away. Instead, it keeps forming at an incredible rate. I think tea tree will burn his eyes, so will lavender. Can you think of something else that I could do for him? He does not complain of pain when I come every hour to remove his discharge. Thanks. Their livers cannot process essenial oils and usage will eventually cause liver problems, failure, etc. Because it takes a long time for liver problem symptoms to show up, the connection between essential oil use and liver failure may not be evident. Why don't you want to take him to the vet? Donna
Guest guest
Thanks for the reminder, Donna. This is something that somehow hasn't sink in. But no worries as I have never done that, I don't think. The Hepar Sulp did the trick. Now, of course, he is showing a huge puncture in his hind leg. That was some beating, poor guy. The reason for the vet is very simple: they will prescribe antibiotics and clean the wounds. I refuse to give him more than his share of antibiotics and I can clean the wound myself. Not to mention it is important to avoid Bernie's incredible stress when he leaves the home. It would be literally adding " aggravation to injury " ! lol I would like to hear if you or anyone would know of a bitter solution that protects wounds but prevents him from licking his skin raw!
