I got up took her to the bathroom, and it is IMPORTANT to make sure they are WIDE awake, so they had me give her a secret word. The next morning at the breakfast table she had to give me the secret word. If she got it, then that was my signal that she was totally awake...if she missed it, then we knew she was not fully awake.....To help make sure she woke up properly, they suggest that she help me change the bed, I sometimes even bathed her if I didn't think she was waking up fully. BTW, they also had me give her 7UP before I put her to bed....This stimulation is important to the bladder function when breaking the REM crash. ********Yes it was disturbing to my sleep, but within 4 weeks she was broken. I went the full 6 weeks to make sure. She was 8 yrs old at the time.....IT WAS WORTH IT.....I also was a bed wetter but when I had the German measles it stopped.....the bed wetting pros said this was common....
