Guest guest
I just received in the mail my reminder to have my annual mammogram. Well since I had the first one done I have of course learnt much more about " things " lol and I am truly wondering just how safe a mammogram is? I remember reading somewhere that there is cause to be suspicious of the safety of having a mammogram in that some women do feel that their breast cancer was actually caused by having one. This has made me curious and I am seriously considering NOT having one this year. What are your thoughts on this? Are they safe? Is there any likelihood of them causing breast cancer? Cheers Lyndall
Guest guest
Hi Lyndall - For me, a mammogramm just doesn't seem right. I always was leery of them, and, at age 52, I still haven't had my first. I doubt I ever will. Even the FNP (family nurse practitioner) I go to said she refused to give me *the party line* about these. I was talking with an alternative practitioner, who also skips them, one day, and she made a comment that really made sense to me. She said: What happens when you have a cyst somewhere, and you pop it? It leaks gunk out. But you wipe away that fluid and move on. What if there are cysts in your breasts - not causing any problem - but the machine nicely flattens the heck out of your breast tissue, and, perhaps, causes these cysts to break, leaking out fluid into your body? That could be wrong or it could be right. It's something to think about. Perhaps nature, in its infinite wisdom, encapsulates disease in these handy little cysts and protects us from the contents. Perhaps not. You really have to make up your mind - what you feel comfortable with. My cat has a cyst that developed years ago on one side of her chest. Everything in me wanted to have it removed so she'd look *whole* again. But I also knew enough to stop, breathe and check into it. I had a homeopathic vet treat her, who also said that the lump simply could be an expression of disease. Remove it, and disease epxresses elsewhere. Leave it, and the body may be satisfied with that. All these years later, my cat is just fine. The lump never has disappeared, but it never has grown either nor are there any other signs of illness. Guest guest
I wouldn't do it, if I were you. It has been established (not by Big Pharma and the AMA) that you have higher changes of developing breast cancer because of the amount of radiation. If you must, ask for an ultra sound. It is more reliable and needless to say, much safer. Guest guest
I would love to hear some opinions and thoughts too, and maybe alternatives too. Guest guest
Hello, I too have heard this and do think mammograms are not without risks. I would choose to do thermography instead. It is a way of detecting problems by more of a photo taking process. I have understood that if you have a tumor growing more blood vessels appear in one spot to feed the tumor and more blood means more heat. the special photo can detect heat. You can always start with thermography and decide later about a mamogram. there is also types of breast cancer that are not detected with mammography and often depending on how they are read you can get different results. It is interesting to have the info and good to do more research. I also know doing things like shoveling and raking and movement in general is really great to move the lymph in the breast area so move yourself more and perhaps go bra free... ::patty:: , " Lyndall Abbott-Young " <devil.tas wrote: > > > > I just received in the mail my reminder to have my annual mammogram. Guest guest
A few of the prominent alternative doctors share your concern of mamograms causing cancer to spread (bursting tumors under the pressure of the device). It wouldn't hurt to do a little research of your own and make up your own mind - yes, you still have that right (for now).

Guest guest
Namaste, Does anyone know anything about " lipomas " ? I need information and knowledge. I've had some really horrible experience during & after surgery, a bad doctor, and no hope for finding a cure. Appreciate any input from anyone. Thanks, and Blessings! , " kiaradaze " <ckirchhoff wrote: > > Hi Lyndall - For me, a mammogramm just doesn't seem right. I always > was leery of them, and, at age 52, I still haven't had my first. Guest guest
I have never had one, and don't intend to put my tits in a wringer any time soon. It is totally counter-intuitive. Perhaps when the male experts start to have annual scrotograms? This is NOT an informed opinion, just being an ornery old woman today. Guest guest
Ien - thanks so much for the chuckle this morning! Guess I join you in the ornery old woman club because that's exactly what I've said to people for years: The day they invent a machine that flattens men's testicles to check for cancer - and men flock to do it - will be the day I consider a mammogram. (actually, I still wouldn't, but I doubt there is any danger of me being called on that one!) Guest guest
This article can be found at www.naturalnews.com Just copy and paste the link below... Blessings, Annette This report exposes the little-known truth about the massive fraud perpetrated by the breast cancer industry. Every woman needs to read and learn the information freely offered in this eye-opening report. " - Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, author of Breast Cancer Deception Dear readers, Nearly everything we've been told about breast cancer by the medical establishment is a lie. Here are just a few of the many shocking truths you've never been told: Breast cancer is 90% preventable through deliberate changes in foods and lifestyle. Chemotherapy only works on 1 - 2% of breast cancer patients. The No. 1 cause of breast cancer is chronic vitamin D deficiency. Mammograms actually cause breast cancer. Breast cancer is not caused by " bad genes. " All woman have cancer cells and micro tumors. Simply having a tiny tumor detected does not mean you need chemotherapy or radiation. Ten women are harmed by mammography for every one woman who is helped by it. Countless false positives (false cancer diagnoses) happen every year. You should never trust a single cancer diagnosis. Most breast cancer centers have a financial incentive to recruit patients by " finding " evidence of breast cancer. Many oncologists would never undergo the same chemotherapy they prescribe to patients. Many of the largest breast cancer non-profits are little more than Big Pharma front groups operating a massive patient recruitment scam. Want to learn more? Guest guest
I will never had another one. It's radiation, and radiation can accumulate and may cause cancer. The last time I had a mammogram many years ago, I ended up with torn ligaments under my left arm. So, never again! Guest guest
Ow, Carol, that sounds horrible. I keep thinking that people x years from now will look back, and say: " They did *what* to women's breasts? Why did women allow that? " For what it's worth, my sister-in-law had mammograms like recommended, but she found a lump just after one when she was doing a self exam. One doctor told her it couldn't be anything since she just had a mammogram. But it kept bothering her so she went to another, who diagnosed breast cancer, a pretty serious type. Guest guest
Mammograms involve radiation, if you are going to get 30-40 mammograms then the risk of developing breat cancer multiplies each year. Learn to drain the breast lymphatics and help the breast tissue, eat a proper diet. Ron www.cidpusa.org
