Guest guest
Hello everyone! I am needing any information you guys have on the hep b vaccine. I work at the local health department where I live, however I am a social worker and should not have any direct contact with blood or any other bodily fluids from patients. I know that it is recommended that all staff here have the vaccine, but I am not sure if it is really necessary...plus I am wavering about how I feel about vaccinations in general. Advice? Thanks in advance, Kerri
Guest guest
the best thing to do is research it. My advice is to not get it. There is a whole lot of BS behind why these vaccines were developed and this one is one of the biggest. I won't comment on it here in the forums, I don't want to offend someone, but there is a reason why this one was developed other than what they are saying its for. Guest guest
One thought is that you could get an antibody titer instead to see what your immune status is for it. Otherwise, get the name of the particular Hepatitis B vaccine and it's package insert. Most are online so try a search. Read it and study it first so that you can make a well informed decision. Read through the ingredients to be sure you are not allergic or opposed to any being administered into your body, and also read through adverse reactions. Know your body, if you feel the risk of acquiring an active Hepatitis B infection exceeds the risk of the vaccine then you may wish to have it. Likewise if you are willing to take the risk of vaccination, in order to possibly protect others in society, then do it. It's a very personal decision, and vaccination is a potent medical procedure that holds potential to be very beneficial as well as do great harm. Btw, according to your job description you may not fall into the at risk category. Check to be sure, the package insert will give the categories. -Michele , " kerri " <twinkles457 wrote: > > Hello everyone! I am needing any information you guys have on the hep > b vaccine. This site is very detailed and informative on all vaccines: http://poisonevercure.150m.com/vaccines8.htm If you do decide to get the vaccination, I would highly recommend using whatever techniques you have available to harmonize your body to dealing with the vaccination, be it NAET, TBM, EFT, etc. I always have people I work with run the Allergies, Hypersensitivity and Side Effects files through the Emotional Freedom vial for any supplement, medication, etc., they are taking so they have fewer side effects. Guest guest
You see a lot of Hep B in your line of work. I used to work at a Health department in nursing but I'm familiar with what the social worker does. Your exposed during home visits and have people with the disease in your office. If you work in a large city the amount of contact with the virus is fairly high. Now the type of work you do isn't particularly high risk, just the population has a high incidence. If you don't get vaccinated, you need to be absolutely strict with universal precautions and frequently wash your hands. It takes only one slip up and its forever. I took the vaccine when it first came out. It was bad, but thats my own preference. Think about it carefully.
