You can use ice for pain therapy (wrapped in 100% sterile cotton). Vitamin E can be applied. Don't wear tight pants -- let the air get to the area. Wear only cotton underwear that is not too snug when you must. Do not have any sexual contact while there is an outbreak. You will feel discomfort there days before it breaks out...so spare your sexual partner the pain. Herpes is a virus that stays in your body forever. Oral sex during outbreak will cause fever blisters. Take vitamins and minerals and strengthen your immune system. Kyolic garlic tabs help, as well as siberian ginseng to do that. Get 7 hours of sleep and drink lots of water. a detox cleanse would help any problem. I use Sonne's..you can buy directly from them and save the health food store mark up. Good luck. It is made by Nature Sunshine and can usually be found at health food stores. My clients take 3-3x a day until outbreak subsides and then maintains to 3 a day. Also Olive leaf will help suppress virus and L-Lysine helps too. This might sting for a minute but you can take a piece of fresh garlic, cut in half and rub it on the outbreak, it also helps heal the area. Friction from tight jeans, etc., or realizing your are under great stress is a good indicator one is coming on.
