Guest guest
Ok, Friends, I am going to come clean.. I was once hypnotized by Mannatech, it is set up like Amway-and I would go to the meetings and it was very cheerleader money based- I woke up from the dream after the friend who signed me up (under) told me she was healed from cancer with it and was touring Mannatech circuits in Michigan making lots of money for mannatech, She was spending $200 a month on Ambrotrose and other " goodies " - Well, a year later she died from cancer-and the Mannatech handlers didn't even acknowledge it!! I have an excellent blog (a few pages back in my blog) about addictions to nutritional supplements-it is not just about Mannatech-but about almost every person who comes in my office who believes they need some special " pill " herbo-neutro -ceuticals to live. So, this is something I wrote my book about " Beyond Natural Cures " .. and a blog..if you are interested! Go to my website and click on blog.... It is one reason I can't stand " the Secret " . It reminds me of an MLM meeting. She loves the stuff, eats it religiously, and she has absolutely nothing to do with the business aspect. The question is: did the Mannatech products help her to enjoy quality of life, perhaps a bit longer than she would otherwise have had? Ien I believe I need good whole food to live, the grocery store is not providing enough of it, and I know what I feel like with or without concentrated foods in supplement form. And, now I am off to visit your blog, it sounds interesting. > Aurore > Aurore Adamkiewicz, ND > www.beyondnaturalmedicine.com >
Guest guest
I appreciate what both of you have to say about Abrotrose (don't even know what the stuff is myself!), but I do want to point out how angry both of you sound. I personally enjoyed and gained value from 'The Secret'. Although I did find it to be money-oriented, I found much value in the message. I agree there's a lot of hype out there. I think people need something to cling to in such an unsettled time. And I also have learned a lot from marketing that has literally shouted at me to listen (even though at first I thought it was offensive). So I remain open and realize that marketing is marketing. There's a lot of competition out there. We need to be savvy consumers - who know how to read ingredient's lists and develop our sense of self so that we don't chase after everyone else's passion. Let's honor one another's choices without judgement and attract the most beautiful peace to ourselves. All the best, Jenn http://www.TheOrganicFreedomMovement.com P.S. It's late and I'm off to bed - so sorry if this doesn't make total sense!
Guest guest
Angry??? For as long as I have known Ien, through chat lists, I can tell you she and I are probably the most easy going least angry people on the face of the earth! Passionate - yes, definitely! But not angry! We both have been " into " health for a long time, know what products are out there, and have found our favorites which we are passionate about and recommend people try. So I'm sorry if I came across as sounding angry, that certainly is not the case with me and I didn't mean to sound that way, and I'm sure Ien would say the same.
