Guest guest
I'm looking for some help publicizing this community building event, and for attendees. Please see www.baldm.com for more information and pictures. Questions, comments suggestions are also welcome here and/or at drdavid. Doctors Gathering (ND, DC, MD, DDS, DVM, PhD...) August 15-18 Green Gathering .................................. August 29-September 1 Attend an informal long-weekend with your colleagues this summer. Recreate, rest, rejuvenate, renew, network, learn, enjoy. Bring some old friends and make some new ones. Sit around the campfire beneath the starry sky. Friends and families welcome Group activities and events. Or come for the day. Free. The retreat and region suggest activities aplenty for a long weekend; hiking, swimming, Ultimate, rockclimbing, mt climbing, berry-picking and others are all activities to be enjoyed on site; boating, golf and others are available nearby; communal meals, campfires, group exercises... Personally I like to stay out of the car, to stay put and enjoy the remarkable feng shui of the retreat and surrounding environs. A hike over Bald Mountain and down to Lake Willoughby would be fine... especially with a ride back. I could facilitate meal preparation, outings and activities and/or help others to do the same. We're okay winging it, and I would like to see what some of the docs might want to do or to offer beforehand. I hope I'm conveying the right mix of casualness and sensibility here. Tents in the meadow and woods around the meadow will be the main sleeping accommodation. There will be some indoor sleeping space both dormitory-style (we can sleep a lot of people on the second floor) and private, also there will be some semi-indoor sleeping huts. The lodge is a great indoor space for groups. I expect that the very few expenses for the gathering- food and propane- would be covered by a minimal per person fee... something on the order of $25 for the long-weekend for adults. Thanks, Dr David
