Guest guest
What is the best remedy for a small 2nd/3rd degree burn? The skin bubbled and peeled. It seems to be healing nicely but I want to minimize scaring.
Guest guest
Hi, I always apply neat lavender essential oil to burns. It can halve healing time and can also reduce or even prevent scarring. By the way, lavender oil and teatree oil can be applied neat to the skin. Hope this helps, Mike
Guest guest
If you will google " emu oil " you will find that it is an excellent remedy for burns and minimizing scarring. I always have it on hand. Great for wrinkles too! It's also non-comedigenic (doesn't clog the pores like other oils) Kim (back to lurking) Richard Pabon/Kimberly LeMieux Mi Encantos Arabians www.me-arabians.com Where the Magic Begins..... Guest guest
The cream " Ching Wan Hung " (also called Jing Wan Hong) works very well. You can find it wherever they sell Chinese Patent medicines. Tymothy " naturalhealthmom " <naturalhealthmom wrote: > > What is the best remedy for a small 2nd/3rd degree burn? Guest guest
Colloidal Silver in gel form or you can soak gauze in it and bandage the area. Aloe Vera (pure gel...not a suntan type lotion with other ingredients) Other herbs: http://floraleads.com/sore/<http://floraleads.com/sore/> Vitamin E and A taken internally and applied externally
Guest guest
Vit E oil, the best remedy! Also make sure the skin is always moist. You can put vit.E and then wrap it with Saran Wrap. It is guaranteed to heal fast with no scar! Dr. Maria , " naturalhealthmom " <naturalhealthmom wrote: > > What is the best remedy for a small 2nd/3rd degree burn? The skin > bubbled and peeled. Guest guest
MY SO burned himself severely a number of years ago with a welding torch. He had third degree burns on his arm. AN old cook on the boat he was working on put fresh lemon juice on the burn right after it happened and bandaged it. SO applied lemon juice and bandages for three days, and then just bandages without the juice. He has almost no scarring in the area now. It worked for him. Guest guest
If you want to minimize scaring and spead up healing use Aloe Vera. They use it in Burn Units now in hospitals. Always try to use it straight off the plant otherwise buy a bottle of good quality aloe vera that doesn't have alot of other stuff in it. Guest guest
A home remedy for 2nd and 3rd degree burning is the bark of Cashew Nut tree. Take the bark in the required size using a sharp stone and put it over the burned area. Within three or four days it will be cured and no mark is left. P.J. Guest guest
I've found the best way to get rid of scars and heal them up is either vitamin E or aloe vera! Aloe vera works best straight off the plant, which i always keep handy. it works fast and good, you'll be amazed. just try it everyday or so and you'll see how fast the scar will reduced. Depending on how tough the scar is it might take awhile. Susan http://www.bayho.com/c/121 , " naturalhealthmom " <naturalhealthmom wrote: > > What is the best remedy for a small 2nd/3rd degree burn? Guest guest
Namaste, Next time, get a Reiki treatment. It will heal your burn without a scar. I'm a Reiki II Practitioner and Magnified Healing Practitioner & Teacher. It is especially good on burns and bruises. You have to be open to it for it to work. I was surprised when the oldest son of a friend acquiesced to let me do a healing on his forearm, which was burned when he took the radiator cap off when it was hot, and it was like a gusher of hot, scalding water with antifreeze in it. I worked in his aura, since I obviously couldn't touch the arm. It got real hot because it was pulling the poisons from the antifreeze out, so he could only stand to be treated for about ten minutes. At the end of three weeks, he was healed and not scarred. Guest guest
I received a nasty burn on my tummy last summer from a cookie sheet. I was taking it out of the oven while in the middle of a conversation with the hubby....and of course, not paying attention. The cookie sheet corner burned (pretty bad) about a three inch area. I kept it cleaned and covered for the first few days while it slowly healed. Then, I purchased Vitamin E gel caps from the drugstore, cut them open, and applied them daily. I can't believe how much the scar has faded! Also, be sure to stay out of the sun while healing...that's new skin that can burn very easily! Diane M. Guest guest
Once again I am jumping in the middle of something (I never seem to catch the first of anything..lol.). If you are talking about treating burns, nothing beats plain mustard when you first burn yourself. I didn't believe this when I first heard it. I was sitting in the floor one night, ironing on one of those little flat ironing boards, when my little girl ran through and almost hit the iron. I jerked to get it away from her and ironed across my entire thigh. It hurt SOOO bad! All that came to mind was mustard, so I started yelling for some. By the time my husband brought it, the burn was already blistering. I slathered it all over the burn. Within a few minutes, it stopped burning. I left it on until it dried and then patted it off with a very wet, cool rag. By then the blisters were gone. By the next day, all the redness and pain were completely gone. I know this doesn't help if you are already treating a burn, but maybe it will help next time. Kandy Lovan I received a nasty burn on my tummy last summer from a cookie sheet. Guest guest
Hey, Kandy, better late than never! :-) That's fascinating about using mustard to heal a burn; I've never heard that. Are you talking about just plain yellow mustard? I want to file that tip away so I can try it out or recommend it. (though I'm hoping to never need it!)
