Watching someone that you love change into someone who you find a mere shadow of their former self is very difficult. Not finding anwers through doctors that you trust can also be challenging; to your personal belief and your faith in this country's healthcare system. I, myself, have watched a similar scenario with my mother. Her doctor's test for the sources of her pain, write scripts for medications and recommend therapies; only for my family to be disappointed once again. Looking at my mother's swollen face is like looking at the face of a stranger. Recently, we have been finding some positive results and hope through some alternative options.
