swollen lymph nodes

I had a perm last Thursday, and on Sunday I developed a red blotchy skin

irritation under my left ear and my lymph node at my jaw line/ear is

swollen. I'm not sure if the two are related, but I was wondering if anyone

had any ideas what I could apply/take to help with the infection. It doesn't

really hurt, except when you press on the gland which is slightly swollen,

the skin is a bit warm to the touch and the skin irritation is kinda like

hives - although it is much better and not as red today.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks

Pam

yep, had it as a kid...I do tend to think for some reason that the perm

solution that trickled into my ear canal started all this ... but the hives

on the side of my neck - well wish I could get rid of that!

be well!

Pam have you ever had the mumps? Or been vaccinated for mumps? It's a long

shot.

  • 2 years later...

If the swollen lymph nodes are from a thyroid problem, here is what I would

use.

This is a formula for malfunctioning glands.

Make a tea of the following herbs

3 parts mullein(also known as Verbascum Thapsus)

1 part lobelia(also known as Lobelia inflata

Use this as a fomentation over swollen or malfunctioning

glands. Leave on all night.(covering with plastic), until

relief is obtained. Use a fresh fomentation as warm as

possible each night. ( I use a nice clean flannel, natural

in color to dip into the tea, put that on area, put plastic

over that,, and then wrap something over that to keep it

moist. I would wrap the area with more flannel.

In addition to the external fomentation, drink a cup of this

tea 2-3 times a day or if you have made capsules,

take tow of the capsules with cup of steam distilled

water.

You need to get to the cause of this, as this may be caused

from an accumulation of toxic wastein body from improper

diet, poor blood stream and a sluggish circulation. The glands

become congested, swell up and do cause much pain and

discomfort. The external treatment is for the symptom, must

also take care of the cause.

Hope this helps.

If you believe in touch healing, put the hands on swollen nodes, heart and throat.

There will be good improvement.

Touch healing complements other therapies.

be blessed
