Neti pot problem

I've been using a neti pot with sea salt and baking soda rinse for a

short while now.

Yesterday, as I tried to pour on the right side, nothing came out the

left. After a few seconds, I decided to do the left nostril instead

and it flowed out the right. I tried again on the right side, and

eventually a slight stream of rinse came out the left. I blew my

nose, bent over at the waist, and thought all the water was out.

When I went to bed, I had a dull pressure feeling in my right ear.

Today I had a dull headache and slight pressure feeling behind my

right eye.

I bent over at work and turned my head up to look at something. When

I stood up, a good amount of water shot out of my nose onto the

floor. Luckily nobody was around and nothing was ruined. All day

I've had the taste of saline in the back of my throat.

I'd like some advice about this. I don't feel great about using the

neti again right now. If I can't use it safely, I'll just have to

put it in my cupboard as an extra coffee creamer ;)

I'll be interested in any comments on this, too. My right ear has been

messed up for years, sometimes accumulating a lot of fluid.

After using the neti pot, sometimes if I turn my upside-down head just

wrong in trying to let all the saline run out, some of it will run

into the right ear canal and cause sharp pain. I kinda wonder if it

might not be a good thing to get a little saline in there??

Ear candles help, but they are hard to find.

When you take bath, put cotton in to your ear.

water in the ear canal breeds bacterias'and

hence the sharp pain comes.

remove gently with cotton buds the fluid.

Give reiki to the area and your pain will go.

This is my own personal experience.

If you have water in your ear, a good solution is to put some drops

of alcohol in it. Within 1 minute, the alcohol will evaporate the

water. It works! I used to do this after swimming.

Sounds like you have an ear wax build up, probably from unknown dairy allergies.

You could warm some Hydrogen Peroxide and put a capful in your ear and then

allow to bubble for a few minutes and empty. You can do this a few times.

I would then start considering my diet and doing some self-testing on yourself

for dairy allergies. There is a pediatric allergist whom I swear by. Read her

book; IS THIS YOUR CHILD by Dr. Doris Rapp and you will be surprised at what you

learn. It's also good for adults so don't let the title fool you. She also has a

newer book out that would be worth considering.
