Guest guest
Moderator's Note: Jerry, can you please share more about the causes of gum disease? Thanks, Misty ------------ Diane, It may help temporarily - but we need to look at and attend to the cause of the gum disease. Guest guest
Misty, 2 factors: 1. Weakened resistive capacity of the host. 2. Of course, organized colonies of bacteria. I gave a radio talk for The Oral Health Committee of Greater NY on this, and we've prepared a packet, " Having Great Gums " discussing this common problem. I think it would be helpful if we made the script for the radio talk available to discussion group members. We'd be pleased to send it to any member who sends us a long, self-addressed, stamped envelope. Our address for the request is Dr. Jerry Mittelman, 263 West End Ave. #2A, NYC, NY 10023-2613. Guest guest
I've read a few posts here on Gum Disease, and I'm wondering what people have used successfully to treat this condition? Have you had it and kicked its butt? I'd like to know of befores & afters. I've heard tee tree oil can be used for brushing... and soap?? Guest guest
MMS is incredible for gum disease, and any sort of mouth/tooth infection (except if the infection is inside the tooth itself, as in a cavity that has been sealed over). MMS stands for miracle mineral supplement and information about it can be found at www.miraclemineral.org which is the developer's web site. He doesn't sell it, but--blatant advertising here--I do. At the site you can download a free ebook on MMS, and if you are still wanting to know even more about it you can purchase the second half of the ebook for $10 which goes to Jim's fund to get MMS into Africa to end malaria. I had a tooth infection for 3 months--very much pain, which I thought came from the nerve of a loose tooth. The tooth is loose and when it moved I thought it was letting air to the nerve. I was just about to have the tooth pulled when I read about MMS, so sent for a bottle to try it. It stopped the pain completely after just 2 applications of MMS as a mouth rinse! So the pain was not from the nerve after all, but from an infection. Jim says that brushing and rinsing with MMS after 1 week will stop all gum bleeding, after 2 weeks will tighten teeth back up and after 3 weeks your mouth will be perfect. I have found this to be true! Of course, if the tooth is loose (like my back one is) because of bone loss, MMS does not regrow bone. So that tooth is still loose back there, but now it is zero problem. If a tooth is loose due to gum disease, MMS will get rid of the disease and tighten the tooth up. I have found that brushing with MMS on my brush makes my whole mouth feel better than just coming from a cleaning at the dentists! And it lasts more than one day--the next morning your teeth still feel as clean as the day you brushed! Amazing stuff. Guest guest
The antioxidant answer for gum disease – take vitamin C, helps reduce inflammation associated with gingivitis and it also repairs the connective tissue of your gums, take 500 twice per day. Take Coenzyme Q10, it can reverse gum disease and reduce your risk of heart attack, take 60 mg per day, to treat existing gum disease, take 100 mg twice per day. Take folic acid, helps regenerate gum tissue, oral rinses with folic acid can be effective. Take vitamin E 400IU daily. Take zinc, helps protect and heals gum tissues, take 30 mg daily. I also cut out all gluten in my diet and I got rid of my gum disease.
