Guest guest
I understand your position as moderator, however, I think acknowledging a person's reply to one of your posts would be the best approach, as silence sometimes looks like neglect or disapproval. It also would seem to me that if you are going to take a strong position on an issue, that it puts you in on the chessboard of debate and off the moderator's chair, to some degree. Guest guest
I own and moderate a for midlife women and it can be a full time gig. I can't even imagine how time consuming a group this large must be. Andrew is away right now and has a substitute moderator in his absence. I'm sure he/she is doing the best they can. There are always going to be people promoting their products, services and business opportunities in groups like this. I do too! But, some are overly overt and are repeated multiple times. It does get to be a bit much and it makes me more appreciative of how well Andrew selects the posts that go through. (No offense substitute, you're appreciated too!) This is an awesome group, so let's just be patient and take the best and leave the rest. Andrew will be back soon! Granted, offensive spamming can tear a good group apart and is annoying. Many thanks to Andrew and his substitute moderator(s), this group IS humungus!
