Guest guest
A Google on Uncaria Tomentosa (Cat's Claw) and Brain tumor, yielded this tidbit on PubMed. Quote: Two new 27-nor-triterpene glycosides, tomentosides A (1) and B (2), were isolated from Peruvian " Uña de Gato " (cat's claw, plant of origin: Uncaria tomentosa), a traditional herbal medicine in Peru. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis and chemical interconversions. This is the first report of naturally occurring pyroquinovic acid glycosides. PMID: 12608878 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE] End quote I am all in favor of Science. Without it people would start burning witches again any time the cow stops giving milk or a child dies. AND: I can't help but noticing that all this time the Ashaninka and other Amazon peoples who were using the whole vine were getting those naturally occurring pyroquinovic acid glycosides, whatever they may be. This goes for any plant, beit medicine or food. When you use the whole, you get the active parts that we know about today plus the ones that will be discovered tomorrow. Eat your Dandelions! Honor thy stinging nettles! Remember to make your Quercetin broth! And so on.
