Guest guest
hi, i am 25 years old and had a terrible reaction to my birth control pill - and mixed with too mcuh stress in my life, i kind of " blew a fuse " and all my horomones have been out of whack... each month like a wave they come and go - good weeks and bad weeks.... but its caused a major upheaval in my life. I go to a knesiologist who keeps tabs on me and gives me vitamins and supplements to help balance me out, but its been very taxing and emotionally draining - since i choose to do things the natural way... I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has gone through something similar, how they dealt with the situation and how they " got back on their feet " ... Thank you, Deborah
Guest guest
Hi Deborah, My system got " zotted out " a few years ago when I tried starting birth control pills at the same time I was going through a divorce, preparing to leave a job and preparing to move. I had some worrisome symptoms (leg pain, etc.) from the birth control pills and quickly got off them. However, my hormones went into chaos and menstruation stopped for about 6 months. So in addition to all the life stress I was stressed about my health. For me it was a matter of getting back in some stability (with life, emotions, and healthy diet) and letting my health recover. There are some things you can do to help open up the space to allow your health to come back. Some sort of regular meditative practice such as yoga, tai chi, etc. - even if it is for a few just minutes a day. Address your reaction to stressors. It is our reaction to things that makes us stressed - not the events and situations themselves. I highly recommend EFT (the Emotional Freedom Techniques) for addressing your emotional responses to things, and there is a tutorial on the homepage of one of my websites http://www.eftemotionalfreedomtechnique.com/. I've also started reading " The Open-Focus Brain " by Femi and Robbins and think that would be very helpful, too. I just finished reading the first open-focus exercise on page 25 and was really impressed with how I could feel myself relax. Also, diet and lifestyle have a profound impact on your hormones. Regular moderate exercise and adequate sleep help a lot. Also let low-glycemic fruits and vegetables be your main source of carbohydrates. A lot of westerners overeat carbohydrates. Grains, potatoes and some fruit (like bananas) are packed with carbs and it is really easy to overdo it. So eat plenty leafy greens and moderate amounts of low-glycemic fruits and vegetables - and make sure you get some protein with every meal. And take a few deep breaths whenever you think about it Hope this helps... Sincerely, Pamela , " Deborah " <gubertush wrote: > > hi, > i am 25 years old and had a terrible reaction to my birth control pill > - and mixed with too mcuh stress in my life, i kind of " blew a fuse " > and all my horomones have been out of whack... each month like a wave > they come and go - good weeks and bad weeks.... but its caused a major > upheaval in my life. > > I go to a knesiologist who keeps tabs on me and gives me vitamins and > supplements to help balance me out, but its been very taxing and > emotionally draining - since i choose to do things the natural way... > > I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has gone through > something similar, how they dealt with the situation and how they " got > back on their feet " ... > > Thank you, > Deborah >
Guest guest
Hi Deborah, The pill is a blend of synthetic estrogen and progestin and certainly isn't " the natural way " . Perhaps your body is giving you a loud and clear message that this approach isn't right for you. I hope you listen! There are far more natural ways to avoid pregnancy. To help get your hormones back into balance, I recommend Royal Maca from Whole World Botanicals which is organic, cooked and highly effective. http://wholeworldbotanicals.com/info_royalmaca.html Michelle http://www.HolisticPerimenopause.com i am 25 years old and had a terrible reaction to my birth control pill and mixed with too mcuh stress in my life, i kind of " blew a fuse " and all my horomones have been out of whack... each month like a wave they come and go - good weeks and bad weeks.... but its caused a major upheaval in my life.
