Guest guest
Does anyone have a recommendation for whole food multivitamins? I feel like I need a well rounded vitamin and with everything out there I have no clue what is good quality or not. I don't mind paying more if it's better quality. Thanks you all. Guest guest
Does anyone have a recommendation for whole food multivitamins? I feel like I need a well rounded vitamin and with everything out there I have no clue what is good quality or not. I don't mind paying more if it's better quality. Thanks you all. Marci Marci, How about a whole wild FOOD, that is the very basis of the foodchain and contains ALL vitamins, minerals, amino acids, EFAs, in a perfect proportion that your body can recognize as food? Sorry about the cliche, but this food changed my life, and I had been taking vitamins. Even a gram a day (4 capsules) can make a profound difference in your life. Take a look: http://wildwholefoods.net Or satisfy your curiosity here. This is the handout I keep in my binder. AFA, Foundational Food What is AFA? AFA is short for Aphanizomenon Flos Aquae, which means invisible water flower. It is an edible blue-green alga, growing wild in Upper Klamath Lake, Oregon. You may have heard of it under brand names like SuperBlueGreen Algae or Aquazon. Known simply as " The Algae " to its many devoted fans. Did you know that all life on earth started with blue-green algae? This is the very foundation of the food chain! What can it do for you? Eaters of AFA have reported: *More energy *Greater resistance to illness *Better mood *Better focus, helpful for ADHD *Relief from food cravings *Better skin and hair *Improved blood sugar management *Relief from allergy and asthma *Relief from side effects of chemo therapy *Relief from arthritic aches and pains *Amazing feats of regeneration in cases of degenerative disease like MS. Please note: these are individual testimonials and do not constitute a medical claim. However, since the mid nineties various scientific studies have been undertaken to support and explain the anecdotal data. More detail on these studies can be found in the booklet " Primordial Food " by C. Drapeau, available for $4.95. What's in AFA? AFA is the world's most complete, most perfect food. Best of all: the body recognizes it as FOOD. Ask yourself: were you designed to absorb ground-up rocks, vitamins extracted from Earth knows what, and isolated amino acids that may be in the wrong balance? Interestingly, many of the proportions in AFA are similar to those in human breast milk. This is the case with the essential fatty acid profile. AFA is a rich source of Omega 3 . AFA is an excellent source of easily absorbed amino acids, again in a balanced, bio-available form. In fact, the amino acid profile of AFA is nearly perfect for humans! Vitamins from A to Z AFA is especially high in the total complex of B vitamins, and beta carotenes. B vitamins must be in the right balance, or one can actually induce a shortage of one by ingesting too much of another. Minerals, and trace minerals Did you know that the US senate was worried about the lack of minerals in the food supply way back in 1936? What do you think happened since then? Without minerals, vitamins are useless. Trace minerals are essential for good health, but are tricky to supplement with. Again, it is easy to get the balance wrong. AFA gets its mineral content from the rich volcanic sediment of the lake bed. The minerals are chelated and fully bio-available. PEA, the molecule of joy AFA is a rich source of PhenylEthylAmine, the same ingredient that makes chocolate a feel-good substance. PhycoCyanin, natural anti-inflammatory The blue pigment is anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. Phycocyanin turns out to be a natural cox2 inhibitor. To sum up: You name it, it's in there. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. There is more to AFA than just a bunch of useful nutrients. AFA is a Gift from the Living Earth. This life form has survived since the dawn of time. This energetic aspect is not easily captured in the language of science. How does it work? Research in this life-giving substance is ongoing. It looks like AFA may stimulate the mobilization of adult bone marrow stem cells, the ultimate regeneration system! Details on research are in the booklet. The real research takes place in your body. Try some SuperBlueGreen Algae or Aquazon and see for yourself if you too experience all or any of the benefits listed above! Guest guest
Marci, I use an organic wild blue green algae, which has every nutrient you can name - vitamins, minerals, amino acids, chlorophyll, protein, etc. It doesn't include any extracted/synthetic/isolated junk - just the whole food, just as nature intended, not mixed up by some scientist. This is the one I use - http://tinyurl.com/g1iz - I've been using it for about 10 years now and love the results I've gotten from it.
