Guest guest
I don't know of any dangers although it does make you sleepy as it is an antihistamine. From personal experience, Periactin is a great appetite stimulant, almost too good. I was " starving " all the time, no matter how much I ate. Here is a link for WebMD with side effects. http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-6976-Periactin+Oral.aspx?drugid=6976 & drugname=Pe\ riactin+Oral Good luck! jenabeckman <jenabeckman wrote: My son is currently in the hospital with cystic fibrosis exacberation...Despite tube feeding him aggressively...HE IS NOT GAINING WEIGHT > Now they are putting him on the drug periactin. Guest guest
My personal experience is 1. Makes you feel Sleepy. 2. All symptoms for which it is given, return with vengeance on withdrawal. May be one has to withdraw, in a tapering manner, not abruptly. Some countries have banned use of it now. =========================================== Dee Marie wrote: > I don't know of any dangers although it does make you sleepy as it is an antihistamine.
