A rash on the scalp

Greetings!

The other day my son had put on a " natural, organic " gel on his

hair and I noticed that after that he was scratching his head all

the time.

I thought it was an allergic reaction to the gel, so I told him

to wash his hair.

Then, when the itching continued some days later, we decided that

perhaps he was allergic to my " natural, organic " shampoo, which

is different from his " natural, organic shampoo " that he has in

his dorm.

Now, after 2 weeks, his head still itches and I realized that he

had skin coming out of this head. He said: yes, I now have

dandruff.

So, I finally decided to have a look (now, I do this when he

comes home from college). What I saw was a scalp that is filled

with yellowish little scabs and a bad rash behind both ears.

I am thinking that it might be a fungus of some sort, but I am

not sure and I have no idea how to deal with this problem of his.

I thought that perhaps putting apple cider vinegar could help,

but to be honest, I am at loss here.

Does anyone have an idea and a suggestion? The poor guy is not

comfortable and I am worried, of course.

Thanks much,

Maria

Sounds like 'folliculitis' which can be caused many different things...for

instance, I get it from being out in the sun. I have Lupus and the sun is a

" trigger " for me which causes my own immune system to attack different organs of

my body including my skin cells.

Here is a good professional article on the subject. It is thorough enough that

you might find the answer here:

Antibacterial soaps are often good for folliculitis if it is being caused by a

germ, but to find the cure will take some experimenting since it can be caused

by many things.

Sounds like a fungus. Could be ring worm. It itches and causes your hair to fall

out. Ring worm bo more by Forces of Nature is great. It works immediately. I

don't work for the company or anything like that. I just had good results. go to

foniols.com I think. or you can just search forces of nature. Hope this helps.

Dandruff can be caused by fungus. Rinse hair with

WHITE vinager. White vinager is well known to reduce

and or eliminate fungus. I used it for fungus, thrush

in my babies mouths. Apple Cider vinager does not have

the same properties.
