and smell is that of sewer gases. is there any natural products or home remedies

I found that most of the artificial tears on the market have nasty chemicals

in them. Maybe you are allergic to something in them. I tried Similisan

drops for dry eyes. They are natural homeopathic drops and I like them quite

well. They do not sting and they feel soothing. They are available at many

drug stores and grocery stores. Good luck!

Hi,

I use those too...I have something called dry eye syndrome.....which is related

to a birth defect I was born with and had fixed later in life....

Because one of my eyes does not close all the way at night I use a prescribed

lubrication drops and ointment. I use the drops throught out the day if needed.

I have puntal plugs also....

Later, hope this helps anyone,

Lynn

Genteal also works very well. You want to avoid anything with

Polyvinol alcohol in it. This causes your eyes to dry out. I thought

in the past that someone on this group posted a recipe for homemade

eyedrops. You might try doing a search through the old posts to see

what comes up. Daphne

Rhonda,

Some supplements you can take to help with your dry eyes are Lutein,

Omega 3 fish oil and Flax oil. I would recommend taking all of these

on a daily basis.

Similasan Homeopathic Dry Eye Relief drops are natural and will soothe

and moisturize the eyes, thus relieving dryness. You can buy it at

Walmart, Walgreens or Vitamin Cottage, to name a few stores.

Good luck,

Jean
