Guest guest
What other tests, I know mammograms, for a diagnosis? Don't think MRI is safe. What can be the cause of this- thanks
Guest guest
Sorry I miss the first thread on this. I had a discharge for many years and at the beginning was put to excrutiating pain to detect what everyone already knew. It is called intraductal carcinoma. Mammograms are very bad for you and I also advise you to not subject to the other test, forgot the name, having a needle being inserted in you breast through your nipple which is done without anesthesia. I think the safest test would be to do an ultrasound with a machine that is good. Most American machines are outdated and therefore unable to diagnose. The mammograms machines are also outdated. Please, be careful. Good luck. Maria , " doglover894 " <doglover894 wrote: > > What other tests, I know mammograms, for a diagnosis? Don't think MRI > is safe. Guest guest
Bleeding through the nipple can be as simple as a plugged duct or lymph gland that drained. It won't show up on an ultrasound or mamogram if it drained. Discharge from a nipple should always be seen by a medical dr to eliminate serious conditions. My daughter when she was pregnant had a brownish discharge from her nipple and the MD looked at it and said it was her milk ducts getting ready for her to breast feed. It stopped when her milk came in. I had the same at 13, but it was precancer. So you never know.
